Just saw 09, standard issue anime ep I guess (ok the point of the ep is standard issue :)).

Still enjoyed it of course.

Episode 9 was great. We learned more about Minori. The "suspense" ending for the episode was just a little...off...

Just got around to watching ep 9. Honestly, this has to be my favorite episode so far, not because it was unique by any means, but it was really nice to see some character development and even just watching the cast interact with one another was really good to see.

I feel like Ami has a much more human side to her, and it just felt like she was trying to get Ryūji's attention because she feels left out. Minorin seems a lot more mature and serious than previously shown, much like the common archetype of a character who plays the joker but when things get tough they get serious. Also, the relationship between Taiga and Ryūji is growing a lot more rapidly than I'd expected, even though by this point I'm not sure who I want Ryūji to end up with (if anyone).

Anyway, I think it's safe to say Toradora has managed to stay a show of it's own, instead of being compared to other such shows like ZnT or SnS. It's set itself well apart from the shows that people initially believed it would be compared to, and for that I think it's really grown on me.

Lastly, episode 10 is out. Subs should be out soon.

gg stopped subbing it. And Aero is having problems and got behind.

So now I'm waiting patiently. The way CoalGuys is chugging em out, I know there has to be something wrong with them.

Since none of the other groups have been releasing the subs in reasonable time, I grew tired of waiting so I switched to CoalGuys 2 weeks ago. I was suspicious at first as well, but imo, they are pretty decent. I barely even noticed the difference...

Same here, they did great.

Spoiler :
I'm kinda unsure about Taiga's father. I mean, there has to be more to it than "misunderstandings". I think the Ryuuji might be too trusting. Her father seems to think that he can just pretend like it didn't happen and move on. He isn't thinking about what Taiga wants. It's obvious that Taiga hates him. And Taiga didn't decide to go to her father until Ryuuji mentioned his own father, this means she didn't do it for herself, or for her father, but for Ryuuji. If Taiga goes with her father, Taiga won't be living in the apartment anymore, so her and Ryuuji won't be together as often which would reduce the chances of the becoming lovers. It's obvious that the story is leading to the end result of Tiger x Dragon, so something is bound to happen to pull Taiga away from her father, be it after going with him or before.

I wish one day producers will sit down and make a creative harem that doesn't show the same repetitive steps.

I still enjoy Toradora, but I wish to be surprised one day :/

x2 on this, at this point I no longer care since I'll be getting a batch after it's finished, so it's really up to whoever's fastest with sub releases (which at the moment is CoalGuys)

A fraction of gg (not sure, but maybe only the translator...) is still doing it under the name of qq.
And I'm watching those, since it also comes with nice translation notes on peculiar things.

More a fan of Ami now than before... Evil bitchy has that "I must tie you up" kinda thing going for them, at least to me... ^_^

Though it's obviously not the case [or maybe this anime will throw a curve], I'd like her to end up with Ryuji. *wishes selfishly lol*

Finally, an episode that I actually enjoyed.

I liked the development that is unfolding between characters, etc.

Now I am officially an Ami fan. |:>

This, but since episode 6.

As generic as each episode may be, I really can't deny loving the series for it's characters and their interactions with one another. Ryuuji was beginning to get on my nerves a bit this episode, though I'm fairly certain he'll make up for it in the coming episodes.

So cute... that's why I always love the Tsundere. 'Cept in Clannad where I like the nut..... Kyou is more of the tsundere but I prefer Fuuko.
