Episode 6! Man, I have to say that Clannad is becoming far more quirky in the comedy department than I anticipated! I don't think Air or Kanon ever pulled this off!
- Sanae made starfish-shaped bread! Tomoya considered that a horrible idea. *enter dramatic devastation pose of Sanae*

- Fuko came down stairs, saw the starfish bread, and went all Cloud 9 mode. Tomoya made a remark on some weird RPG-esque scenario about a swordsman releasing the "seal" that traps Fuko, the starfish user. Uhhh.....ok......

- Tomoya snaps her out of it by shoving a straw of a milk box up her nose. He succeeded thus mastering "Shooting Juice Up the Nose"! :o

- Oh shit! Looks like there's a Fuko fanclub forming in the school! Who would have thunk that?!

- Sunohara came and wants to help out distributing the starfishes, but Fuko refuses to let him in. So he issued a challenge against her in a carving contest! They were supposed to carve a nue, but Fuko ended up carving a frog. Sunohara ended up cutting himself thus disqualifying him.

- Speaking of frogs, this looks familiar! :o

- Crying Nagisa.....MOE!!!!

- You know, there's something really odd in Fuko's dream which has her playing with starfish wearing a thong. :|

- Festival time, and Fuko, Nagisa, and the Fujibayashi twins in maid outfits?!! FU**ING WIN!!!

- How embarrassing! Sunohara got beaten up by a cute bear. You rock, Tomoyo!
So pretty much most of the episode is about
Fuko taking advantage of the festival and distribute as many of the starfishes so the peeps can go to her sister's wedding. She even succeeded on giving one to Mitsui (if you remember, she acted very coldly towards her). Also Nagisa and Tomoya took this opportunity to get her sister to come to the festival in order to meet Fuko. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that she can't Fuko.
Hahaha, yes! Tomoyo is back, after a depressing episode five (for me, anyway) without her!

I had a feeling that Ibuki-sensei wouldnt be able to see Fuko, with the whole ghost thing and all. Even after knowing that, the end of the ep was kinda depressing.

Haha all the girls were fugly in the maid outfits. Cept Fuko of course xD

These eps need to get released in widescreen so i can start my vid. I only have the first 2 D=

Another good episode although the ending was kinda depressing.I also had a premonition that Ibuki-sensei wouldn't be able to see her sister but it struck me by how it was shown.

Clannad's 1st arc will be over soon as it seems.

Episode 7.....oh boy, the drama is definitely picking up! But with all the drama, there are always some funny moments! :o
- Fuko was getting teased by Sunohara, so she "summoned" her legion of fans to take him out! Those fanboys must have strong hearing to hear that whistle!

- So Fuko expects some sort of starfish festival when all of this is over? Ehh....no. :|

- Hahaha, Nagisa and Fuko got into an argument on what's cuter; a big dango family or a group of starfish. As it was getting heated up, it ended immediately with a truce. *Tomoya and Sunohara....facepalm*

- Fuko went all Cloud 9 mode again. To remedy this, Tomoya asked Sunohara to lie down.

- And then he forced Fuko's fingers into Sunohara's mouth, and that's when she woke up. Then she smacked Sunohara with the starfish repeatedly. At least Tomoya gained a title "Fuko Master"
Now for the story itself.....
it is learned from the sister Kouko that Fuko was actually pretty antisocial and didn't have many friends. Also Kouko wanted to have her wedding in the school for nostalgic sake and because most of the halls were booked. Near the end of the episode, Kouko revealed that Fuko's condition worsened and may not wake up. And because of it, Sunohara revealed that everyone in the school are starting to forget about Fuko.
I think it's a given that the end of this arc will be very bittersweet.

Episode 7 was more depressing than the others, especially towards the end. However, the comedy just never ceases.Especially the title Fuko master was instant win!! :D :D

Dammit,KyoAni yet again amazes us.With only Air,Kanon 2006 and Clannad, you realise that with each passing anime,it raises its standards. And so far,the rankings for me go like this: Clannad > Kanon 2006 > Air

Bwahaha, now imagine them adapting the next of Key's works, (hopefully) Planetarian and Little Busters! 8-)

Gah, I find it really strange how well they have managed to balance all the humorous moments with such depressing ones.

Judging from how things are going, I'm getting a bad feeling about how depressing this anime is going to end D:

I read spoilers. Assuming the ending revolves around Nagisa's arc, yes the ending will be very depressing. Im starting to think Clannad will be more depressing then Air or Kanon, simply because while the endings to air and kanon were depressing, it still technically had a happy, life goes on kind. Clannad however.. the ending will probably bug me for days. Again it also depends on how Kyoani plans to end it.

Oh and for anyone who was curious in regards to the annoying blinds transitions.. i read up somewhere and apparently its a reference to the original visual novel o_O
