it isn't too bad a break of pace considering the amount of shounen fighting this has =P

Well, episode 15 really leads to a great fight and prepares the climax for the best arc of Claymore, which we'll get to see after episode 17.
According to Anidb, the number of episodes isn't specified yet. However, like OropherZero I think I understand where it'll stop according to the manga...

Damnm,I can't wait for chapter 74.Why did we get a special chapter now showing us once again the ultimate truth - that Teresa kicks everyone's ass????

I liked the Teresa gaiden :D and unfortunately doesn't look like chapter 74 will be out until november, we're going to get more 'specials' for the time being. And claymore on ANN is said to be 26 episodes, which makes sense.

hmm actually I just took a look at http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclo ... 28&page=25 looks like the current arc fighting is going to be shorter than expected, unless they cover everything under the pace of fighting animation compared to reading fights in manga. Anyway following the titles of the next lot of episodes, it can be deduced that the anime might even end at chapter 73.

Damn, looks like they're gonna massacre another good anime and finish it like Berserk. At least with Berserk we managed to watch the whole of Gutts's past.
While in the case of Claymore a finale at chapter 73 is idiotic.Plot wise, it'd be better to finish the anime at chapter 67.But this would have been a terrible ending!! :( :(

As for the North war arc,2 episodes don't seem enough.I give it a 3-4 episodes guess.

man, anyone else notice the intro change imperceptibly? A tiny bit more and more each week. Observe:

Or maybe it's just that I actually watch the op, when most people would just skip over it. I decided to look at just how different it's getting, so I made a little splitscreen comparing an old episode with the newest. Linky :O

You also notice how they've cleaned up the footage as the show's progressed, and even changed their mind about the translations of lyrics.

I also noticed that sth looked different in the intro concerning the image.
As for the lyrics, the "Woe me,woe me,love me" was replaced by "Wrap me,wrap me,warm me" in episode 11 for first time and remains this way even now.

Looking at the episodes names in Anidb, episode 22 will be the 2nd part of the invasion of Pieta meaning that we'll have 2-3 episodes after the great fight in the North. What will we see in the anime ending,I wonder?

Episode 17 rocked btw,the fight looked much more awesome than most times.

I can't wait! The War in the North looks freakin awesome! It's an allout war, and man, I'm lovin' it! 17 was an excellent episode. One of my favorites. I was expecting them to fight the little girl though. I'm sure there's gonna be huge battle between those 3, and I can't wait! Good action, good story, what else do you need? ^_^

Just saw episode 18, and all I can think now is:

NOOO!!

I'm going travelling the next 30 days which means I won't be able to watch the next few episodes in a while :S This will be the end of me, I swear :x Not being able to follow Claymore when it's THIS intense will eat me up, ruin my vacation and drive me mad.

What should I do? I don't even feel like backpacking across eroupe anymore
