It's funny to me because I have noticed several USA fans not realize that in Japan Azumanga Daioh WAS for otaku. It was marketed as such and published as such. Dengeki Daioh is a seinen publication but it is also otaku material.

That Initial D gag had me running around looking for Euro Trance on my old music cds...

OMG, episode 7 was like TOTAL WIN!!!

Yuri fans take note! :o
- Konota going all "Marimite" with the "gokigenyou" was like....wow! Totally damaging on the moe scale! 8-)

- Hell, Konota was also watching Strawberry Panic! AWESOME!

- The scenes with Tsukasa working with her cellphone was just too adorable especially when accidentally left hers in the washing machine.
Man, this series is getting better and better!

I really enjoyed it when...
Konota's dad kept calling her on her cell. The location of these cuts were awesome.
Haha, Konota's mature voice is so sexy. The way they went around adding lips and eyelashes gave it a lot of giggle factor.

The pacing in episode 7 was very good. It was over before I realized it.

My personal highlights:
Konata in ojou-san mode.

Konata falling asleep doing homework (with the pencil mark trailing off the page onto the desk, plus the puddle of drool).

Tsukasa's expressions as she searches for here cellphone number.

Poor Konata's dad. He gets two appearances, but no interaction due to Konata leaving her cellphone at home. (Last week I had a feeling he'd be introduced in this episode.)
So, in the past day I've seen two series where someone dies in ep 8. Things are not boding well for the next ep of Lucky Star.

I'd say they'd be more likely to introduce a new character in the next ep.

We are more likely to see several fans die from moe overdoses of Tsukasa if this series continues at its present pace!!

Holy shit, the opening is addictive... I can definately hear Aya Hirano's vocals in it.
