Cast list and release info for Lucky Star has been revealed!

Konata Izumi - Wendee Lee
Tsukasa Hiiragi - Michelle Ruff
Kagami Hiiragi - Kari Wahlgren
Miyuki Takara - Karen Strassman
Akira - Stephanie Sheh
Minoru - Sam Regal
Kuroi-sensei - Kate Higgins

Hmmm, when the last time I heard Wendee Lee pull off a young, cutesy girl voice? In any case, doing Konota's voice will prove to be tricky!

ah, stephanie sheh, what and angelic voice, I'd watch any anime just to hear her

I think the reason they chose Wendee Lee for Konata is more than obvious.

That is the understatement of the year. It's going to be interesting to hear Ms. Lee's interpretation.

I know Ms. Sheh can do a bang up job of voicing Akira.

It's strange because I'm really curious as to how she will handle it, yet I really don't want to listen to it because I know it will ruin my image of Konata.

Here's Lee's entire resume:

Any idea as to what voice she'll pick?

What do you think they're gonna do with the ending theme, if you can really call it that. They could probobly dub the first half's endings if they tried really hard, but the second half is a complete different issue.

I love all the ending stuff in lucky star.

I think they're gonna do it the gay way, and dub the first half as you said, but then go ahead and do the same thing with the second half (replace Minoru singing with the normal credits and dub other songs)

The NYAF panel stated that they are keeping the original Japanese endings.

I guess they could just sub them. That would work.

But remember, most of those idiots hate subs

"those idots"? Who would that be and what other choice would they have other than subs if they are keeping the original endings?

I just insulted about 90% of the western anime society with my comment.

By the way, I misread, I thought they were going to keep the first half's credits but dubbed for the entire series.

Eitherway, I think leaving the credits unchanged would be a big mistake, mainly because most people wouldn't really enjoy it :/

Protip: most OP/ED sequences are left entirely in Japanese.

Sucks that they're dubbing it at all but w/e. People will buy if for the subs and they'll credit the dub staff for making it a success.
