Death Note

This section is for the rational discussion of anime on a series basis. Spoilers should be expected, but please be courteous to your fellow users.

Just saw the first dvd today (buddy got it).

Hmm I like it so far. my only previous exposure was in a few amvs.

I like it, it's not the usually cute icky anime (which I normally watch), but it's also not just more of the same old violent goth looking anime either (well not yet at any rate).

I expect to enjoy more of this series hopefully.

(oh and I have not reviewed the thread, so no worries about comments spoiling anything for me :)).

I like Death Note as well. It's not a favourite but it's good.

I would assume you are talking about anime with lots of Moe. Am I right? I happen to like those too.

[MOD 403: try to keep the drama down, spoiler tags added. Please read the rules again guys]

I like moe in my anime :)

Then again, I also like to eat too much chocolate :)

Hey the real world is just so damned ugly. I'm merely rebelling against it by enjoying over the top cute in my anime.

Why is there a Mod warning on my post about spoiler tags and drama? What does Moe have to do with spoilers?

Its not referring to that post but the ones before it. ^.^

Anyways, this series is awsome. It kept me very interested the whole way through. My one complaint is the second intro song. The song itself, not the animation to it. To each his own, I suppose.

Yeah it's pretty good.
I still think Misa's an idiot, she did the eye trade twice and she doesn't care how Light is just using her.

It's because she's infatuated to the point where it's unhealthy.

This is a spoiler about the end of the series:
After Light dies Misa commits suicide which is a perfect example of how completely obsessed she is with him. It affects her mentally.
Also, fail.

Epic fail. Misa is insane.
Actually if you read the manga, at the end of the last chapter Misa believes he's still alive, try reading the final chapter.

I think he's talking about the anime, but I can see Misa being unable to comprehend Light's death and trying to find him

According to How to Read 13, Misa falls into despair after learning of Light's death through Matsuda. Misa commits suicide one year later on February 14, 2011. It is also revealed that the cloaked woman who appears at the end of the manga is not Misa; the woman is an unnamed follower of Kira.
That's pretty much me ripping off wikipedia so I'm sure that a bunch of people will instantly be suspicious. If someone can actually confirm this I'd be really grateful.

Well I meant I thought the guy that Albireo Imma was contradicting was talking about the anime. In simpler words:
Misa kills herself in anime, Misa doesn't in manga. This is based on what other's have said.
I have not read the entire manga (I'm only on volume 7)
<Hacchinya> Stirspeare: ambassador of gaysex

Wait, didn't you read what I said? It was revealed that that girl is not Misa.
