Actually, for me it was just as I imagined it... I really like that voice actor. To me, his vocal quality is just low enough to where he ca be menacing, but still high enough to pull off the funny moments.

To each his own, I guess.

To me, this series is all downhill after Episode 11 (end of the TV station). But I am looking forward to the start of the latter section with Near and Melo.

quick comments on two episodes

ep 21: I wonder if Misa actually realizes how dangeros her actions are. at the very least it was a brilliantly manipulative plot.

ep 22: Kira is in the process of being pwned, and it is good. I wonder if L's plan will continue to go so smoothly (it's also be interesting to see how it goes wrong)

...still hate the new op/ed

Misa-Misa! Anyways, I want the badass Light back. It just lost it's touch a bit.

This would of made a better opening song for Death Note, though.

I didn't like that song, but anything (with maybe one or two exceptions, like anything by AKFG) is better than that second OP.

woah episode 22.... it's getting intense. Sometimes I have to stop and think about how freaky this series actually is... scary. Yeah I wish Ryuk would hurry up and come back so Light can remember about the death note. He just seems a little nice and innocent right now. lol

That's because he's a freaking genius.

So far, the manga is still ten times better, though.

Ahh... episode 25 was the one I'd been waiting for! I thought they handled it pretty well, but the whole thing about standing outside in the rain and then drying off... that wasn't in the manga, was it? I certainly don't remember it.

Homoerotic much? I guess they were just trying to establish an even closer bond between L and Light.

Didn't they say this was going to be 37 episodes? 'Cause if that's the case, I don't know how they plan to wrap this thing up in 12 more episodes. 1-25 only covers volumes 1-6 of the manga... there's still 6 more volumes to go! There's a whole lot of stuff that happens in volumes 7-12! Was 37 a bogus number? Or are they just going to drastically edit the second half of the manga to make it fit?

"I'm now God of the NEW WORLD!"

Man, he's truely got that General Zod thing going down... ^_^

In any case, he should get inside Misa's panties already, I know he's popular with the girls but after that wipe water off scene, I'm starting to question whether or not he's interested in girls at all...

COME ON, MISA'S HOT, BRAINLESS, BUT HOT!!

I think 37 was just what they signed for. There could be a contract renewall (and I hope there is). But even if there isn't, it's only very good until N appears (or more specifically until his benefactor dies). I could've gone without the rest in the manga. Especially the last scene.

X2. I knew there was a catch to a show that was this impressive with the plot, it's shounen-ai.

I wish the next volume of Death Note would be released in the US sooner. I downloaded a scantalation of vol. 11 but the translation sucked. :?

Anyway, Death Note was one of my main motivations for getting back into playing chess more often. Light may be an evil bastard, but he's a smart one, which earns my respect.
