Let's first get these terms set in your mind.

Hikikomori

NEET

Based on the first 2 episodes I've seen, I have to say this has to be one of Gonzo's most down to earth series they have done. The only "flashy" thing that exists in this series is Saito's crazy imagination and those weird ass blue aliens. You can check out the synopsis here. Pretty much this series gives an overview about the life of a hikikomori though there are some otaku life issues sprinkled here as well. This is especially true since episode 3 is going to be about Saito and his friend Yamazaki creating ther first bishoujo ero-game.

The one thing I find rather amusing is Saito's imagination which involves a rather pushy girl Misaki. Like for example, in episode 1, he imagined her as a nun who secretly masturbates.

Hahahaha, episode 3 was freakin' awesome!!!

In order for Saito to create a successful bishoujo ero-game, he must understand how and why they're originally successful. So first Yamazaki lend him a couple games to play around with. And pretty much Saito got really addicted to them to a point that he forgot the original purpose. And that was to create a game to prove that girl Misaki that he's involve with something.

Once Yamazaki gets that through Saito's head about the real purpose, he lent him CDs full of bishoujo porn he got off the internet. Saito realized that and started to "Google" his own images. In the end, he got 12 GB if pics!

After that, Saito realized how low he went, so he finally went outside and getting ready to take picture of little girls who are just coming from school. Misaki caught him in the act.

Man, this series is getting a little bit better and episode 4 almost maintained that.
Saito needs more inspiration in order to create the next big ero-game so Yamazaki brought him to the "sacred pilgrimage" a.k.a. Akihabara. They went to various places like a maid cafe and a doujinshi shop. Interestingly enough, in the end Saito finally met up with his sempai he hasn't seen for years.

The reason I said "almost" because the art quality literally went to hell. Dammit, Gonzo! This is has to be to most compelling, down-to-earth series you've done so don't blow it like you did to Speed Grapher!
