Anyway, could anyone explain what this new thing about luffy is? I have not been really paying attention to this series....so...TELL MEH

Assuming you've seen through Enis lobby, the only new thing (beyond a little bit of zombie time on thriller bark) is that he's shown some apptitude for that kind of "arua" thing shanks uses. (though all he was able to do is scare away a love bison ) They're in the middle of a really epic arc though. They met the first mate of gold roger. And right now there's a battle beetween twelve different new world pirate crews (including luffy), a shichibukai, and an admiral. that's turning out interesting.

I think what Vivaldi means by "aura" is his presence(or 'spirit' as some of whitebeard's pirates said... I think???) At the start of Whitebeard and Shanks' get together, some of the weaker crews started passing out just because Shanks' was there.
Same thing with Luffy, when a certain huge bison looked at Luffy, it got scared.


I think that's what Vivaldi was talking about? I skim when I read the manga so I think that's it.
