it may be the best shounen anime ever created ....former creator of yu yu hakusho , togashi really did his thing on this anime , the story is really unique and it also got the best two villains : hisoka and kurroro

I love all the action and adventure in Hunter x Hunter. Although, I've only seen up to Hunter x Hunter: G.I. ~Final~, I really like to watch the rest of the series. I've been reading the Manga books too but it seems they both just keep going...hm...when will I ever see the end?!?

there is no end to it actually because nothing has been resolved yet . and from the manga you reading right now, the story is still developing but it stops at one chapter because the author was said to be sick.

Ah...so that's why there's nothing much about the ending of Hunter x Hunter... cool...it's still a mystery. Oh, I can't wait to watch some more of the series. Thankyou for the info.

the chimera ants is the last arc he's currently working on in the manga and the sequel of green island final. nothing is expected to be in anime yet till he finishes with this arc. and this last arc is intensely different than the others because it's almost comparable to berserk. you will just have to see for yourself.

GI Final (OVA 3) has 14 episodes, not 13.

I agree that the voice actors are a little weird, but after you get used to it, Hisoka's fits like a glove. My blood boils to hear his moans of pleasure when seeing someone strong (okay that sentence came out weird, just ignore it)

I've recently finished the show and I can't help but think that HxH is everything that Naruto tried to be and failed monumentally:

Hunter shiken: a series of intelligent challenges to test various skills
Chuunin shiken: a cheerio's annual prize race

Kurapika: Overpowered genious with red eyes that wants to avenge his clan
Sasuke: boohoo, aniki killed my mommy

Nen training: Actual training
Chakra training: clapping your hands
And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

Here, here 8-)

The only thing that bothered me was how the Greed Island OVA's were animated. I can't say for sure why, but I just prefer the original style. Either way, I enjoyed the series from beginning to end - I'd love to see it licensed someday.

I'd also love to see some decent HxH AMVs...

I'll third that.

The animation did seem a little worse. On the other hand, I think the character design for G.I. is better than the rest. The lines are thicker or whatever, but it looks a lot better.
