i'm starting to like this anime and want to see where its headed and want to know how the hell can someone live within a computer or are they already dead ??!!

I'm watching this series raw and i'm on ep 11 right now.
It seems they're just computer data because someone dies or gets erased in ep 11, so i guess that answer the question. =\
correct me if i'm wrong
