From ANN:

Toon Disney Licenses 5th Digimon Series for Fall 2007
ICv2 reports that Toon Disney, part of Disney's ABC Cable Network, has licensed Digimon Savers from Toei Animation for a Fall 2007 debut. Digimon Savers is the fifth Digimon creature-training television series which aired between April 2, 2006 and March 25, 2007 in Japan. Toei Animation will provide all 48 episodes to Toon Disney (under the name Digimon: Data Squad) to bring the total number of Digimon episodes to 253. The franchise earned the equivalent of $72 million in merchandising in Japan.
Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.

That's good news.

*Sigh* We can say good-bye to most of the series now.

Interesting, the website says that Masaru's English name is Masaru. However, ANN's newest news release about the Savers movie being dubbed says his name is Marcus. Was his name changed at the last minute, or did ANN goof?

Oh no - don't tell me they're changing Masaru too. They usually keep the Goggles the same for the most part.

The only real exception being Daisuke to Davis. Nobody really knows if that's a real change or not. If it is, maybe they're changing it for that reason, Masaru doesn't wear goggles. >_>

Well, here's the official VA list:

Marcus (Masaru) - Quinton Flynn
Yoshi (Yoshino) - Colleen O'Shaughnessy
Thomas (Tohma) - Crispin Freeman
Ikuto - Brianne Siddal
Commander Sampson (Satsuma) - Jameson Price
Yushima - Kirk Thornton
Agumon - Brian Beacock
Miki - Stephanie Sheh
Megumi - Kate Higgins
Lalamon - Dorothy Fahn
Falcomon - Steven Jay Blum
Kudamon - Sam Regal

It's quite the unexpected cast. I'm surprised that Satsuma is currently the only VA who was voted for. I'm wonder who will play Gaomon?

Digimon fans: I know there are some fans of Derek Stephen Prince out there. As you probably are already aware, he will be a guest at Anime North this year. What you may not know is that he has a radio show. May 17th, he plans to host his show as Veemon! For more details, check out this post and his website.

I think you mean May 18th, which is tomorrow. ;)

More Digimon-related info: Eisaku Inoue, a key animator for the Digimon Zero Two movies, as well as several other series, will be attending Anime Expo this year as a guest of honor. Mary Elizabh McGlynn is going to be there as well, though that's older news.

I don't like this show because it's the same crap over and over.

Well, Gaomon's VA has finally been revealed, it's Skip Stellrecht. I'm curious as to how the dub of the season is going to work out.

Ha, at least it hasn't gotten too bad with age.

Can't say the same with Pokemon though. Really fun up until after Johto...after that...just boring.

Mh, is this seriously anime worth watching? I've been doubting that ever since it came, seems like some anime for 5-year-olds. Is it? Well, I could check out some of the eps.
Which are the first episodes, I mean like I've been reading about Frontier etc. So what's the first one etc.

The first one is Digimon Adventure, then Digimon Adventure 02 (it's a continuation).
After that Digimon Tamers was made (alternate universe, new characters, etc...) and after that, they've all been seperate. After Tamers was Frontier which had a new concept of Digimon (the kids themselves became them). After that it was Savers.

So really if you wanted you could pick up on 3 and above without seeing the first two. Though it would give you a little more knowledge on digimon and the evolution process...as it's quite different from Pokemon (if you watch that).
