This is actually quite an engaging series. I downloaded episode 1 just to check it out, and ended up watching all the way to episode 15 (what was released at the time) all at once. Its one of those anime that grabs you and makes you want to see what happens next. It's about Kart racing, (As in Go-Karts) and the characters, particularly the main character, is just one of those cool kinda main characters Like you often see in Adachi's mangas.

Its starts off with Capeta as an elemetry kid, who lives alone with his father in a somewhat poor envireonment. His does all the cooking, laundry, household choors etc, while his dad works in construction to pay the bills. Capeta acts like everything is ok and is obedient and seems more reliable than his father, but actualy he is lonely. One day his father gets a job at one of the profesional Go-Kart racing tracks, and sees the Karts for the first time, and thinks Capeta might have fun "playing" with one of those. So he takes some of the spare parts from the Manager and builds a Kart over time for Capeta. The first day Capeta tries the Kart, He has trouble driving it because his father didn't build it taking into acount Wheel alignment and such, so the frame is bent and not suitable for racing, however Capeta figures out how to manage it using his incredable sense of balance and ability to feel the Kart as if it is like an extension of his body. He acciudentally figures out a high level technique to manage the Kart, and even almost passes one of the other Karts out on the track with a more powerfull engine. The driver of that Kart was the champion of the Junior Nationals. His mother, who was watching the race and noticed Capeta's skill and technique dispite it being his first time driving, Advises him to take up racing.

The show starts of with Capeta as an elementary kid, but goes forward 4 years after his first official race and continues from there.

If you liked Initial D, or any of Adachi's sport mangas, definately check this one out! (Note The manga for this was NOT Adachi's work, just similar to it in my opinion)
