Fillers....lots and lots of fillers...hence blame the studio for milking their cash cow...

Yeah, i agree. Do they wonder why their numbers go down, or is it that they dont care? Seriously, how many viewers do they use. I personally know a lot of people who have stopped watching naruto until the fillers end, myself included.

The drop in Japanese television animation audience ratings for many animation shows has been particularly dramatic in the past year or so, regardless of reasons offered

Ratings are fine in proportion to how the industry is doing.

Lastly, but not least important, is basic demand and supply logic: If the targeted audience continues to consume the product, there must exist a demand for it. If there exists a demand, keep producing the product. If the demand becomes less than the supply, lower the supply.

I wouldn't care so much if the directors didn't suck at making up their own stories and were better at avoiding conflicts with the original story. Although I have to say Naruto is doing a better job of it than bleach >.<

I know little about bleach, but i agree, the directors do suck. Remember the Courier ninja episode, where Naruto powers the boat with Rasengan? That was where the fillers killed Rasengan as the coolest move in the show.

I have to disagree. The Bleach fillers were exceptionally better than the Naruto fillers. The few times that the Naruto fillers had any interesting storyline were the Mission intros.

I can't argue since i haven't watched much bleach, but i can agree with you both, the filler using rasengan for stupid purposes such as ramen and speedboating was some of the worst anime i have seen, and ive seen quite a bit of anime, even some old school stuff.

That's rather disappointing that the Japanese don't mind.

It's more that we have this mentality of Filler = Not the Real Deal, therefore, Not enjoyable.

Furthermore, we do have less anime exposure then them; however, the audience in foreign markets also tends to be much more varied than the 10-12 year olds in the Japanese market.
