Will a movie review suffice? =D xD
One of the members from an E7 forum I go on went and saw the movie in Japan and left a review (which, surprisingly didn't have any big spoilers. Huzzah! =D)
Kash's Mini Review:
Well, my favorite part of the movie is one reminiscent of what I remember to be episode 27. Where Eureka is falling and Renton and Nirvash catch her. In this case, Eureka falls from a tower, and as she falls, Renton and Nirvash catch her, Then Renton and Eureka have a tender moment in the cockpit, although they have to make it short before the military catches up to them. The premise of the movie is that Renton and the Gekko go are working to find Eureka, on the reason that the military's secret to fight the Images (new name for the Coralians) is Eureka. However, the motives behind Holland are not as good as one sees at first. This movie is receiving very favorable reviews from the press.... and a wider national release is being considered.
Then a bunch of members asked her questions, and these were here answers:
E7RULZ:
The movie had plenty of tear jerking moments!! I cried two times during the movie actually, and I loved every second of the movie! I will give a great hint. The ending of this movie is indeed the best ending to an anime that I have seen in quite some time! You will all be pleased with the ending!
Demoneye:
Like I said to E7RULZ, the ending is EXTREMELY satisfying lets just say that they remain together in happiness
Matt:
I LOVED this movie! Suki-daa! hontoni suki-daa! I don't know if it is deserving of an Oscar, since the Oscars are held in the U.S and I don't know of any plans for the movie to be released in the U.S. It is not the next Nausicaa or the next spirited away... It is a little short...I think everyone in the theater would have liked more time to develop some of the characters' stories. BUT, the oscar winner in animation last year was a Japanese short movie, so maybe, if nothing better is released. I do know one thing. Reviews here are insane! Everyone who watches it, a past fan or not, wished to see the actual series. Matt, I do think that what you've suspected for so long may come true. A second season of Eureka Seven may occur or maybe an OVA.
Eureka- Coralian:
I will say that yes... Holland, Talho, and their baby are mentioned. But not in the context that the TV anime had.
E7RULZ:
Anemone has an interesting part in this movie, and yes, she is in the movie. Rather, she plays a pretty big role in the movie, like she played a pretty big role in the anime. She is not an antagonist however. That is all I will say about Anemone But Nirvash Type- The End is in the movie, as a baby and as a mecha. Dominiq disappears with Eureka one day when Eureka and Renton were kids, setting Renton off on his journey to find Eureka. Eureka tells Renton that she doesn't know where Dominiq is. And he does not make an appearance until almost the end of the movie, he barely talks as well, which is a little strange Eureka undergoes a transformation in the zone, similar to the transformation in the TV anime. I will not say the particulars of the transformation, but I will say that Eureka is truly the most beautiful female anime character ever, whatever you do to her character model, she still looks great.
I'm so incredibly excited for this movie. ^^
