Ah, episode 5. This was a rather light-hearted and entertaining episode.

Two comedic moments happened. One, Fuji-nee reluctantly challenged Saber into a kendo match (rather unfairly since Saber was unarmed). The reason for that is she doesn't like the fact that Saber is staying at Shirou's place. Well, after the "match" you can guess who won!

Second thing that happened is Rin decided to kill off Shirou the next time they meet. Execution-wise, it was done in a rather comedic effect especially when Rin and Shirou jumped off the stairway and landed way too hard; the impact was rather brutal!

Plot-wise a few stuff happened like Shinji and Ayako mysteriously disappeared, Rin was fighting off a bunch of skeletons, and behold she's going to make her appearence next episode!

You guessed it, it's HER! 8-)

One thing to complain about the episode, the character designs were rather off in certain places. It didn't really hamper my enjoyment, but they were noticiable.

Oh man! I think I understand why Rider is rather popular; she is seriously a prime example of a voluptious badass, and her chain spears and the ability to do concealed attacks makes her very vicious and deadly! And let's not forget she wears some sort of blindfold all the time.

In terms of plot, Rin decided to save Shiro once again form Rider's clutches and decided on a truce with him. Also when Archer escorted Shiro back, he pretty much challenged Shiro's "goodwill justice" ideals and pretty much laughed at the ridiculousness of them.

I need to get this off my chest first. Rin Tohsaka is by far the most AWESOME female anime character I have ever seen! From her somewhat bratty attitude to her intellectual use of dialouge (she really "persuaded" Fuji-nee into staying in Shirou's household), she's someone not to mess with in political matters. TYPE-MOON seriously has a knack of creating very likeable female characters. 8-)

As for episode 8....
Shinji is revealed as a Master, but he wasn't the one who place the barrier around the school. He and Rider told Shirou that someone else was behind it. And from the looks of it, two servents are involved, Caster and Assassin.

Shirou's harem of girls is complete; Rin decided to stay at his place for the time being. Fuji-nee and Sakura weren't too happy about it.

Next episode, two battles are going to occur; Saber vs. Assassin and Rider vs. Caster. Don't miss it!!! :P

Hang on so two servants are working together? I thought assasin was a master and caster was the servant so there are two masters we don't know yet working together?

spoilers just for the heck of it wrote:We really don't know who are Castor's and Assassin's respective Masters. I assume those two working together since Castor told Assassin to keep his guard up and protect the temple.

Her bitchiness is what makes her awesome, and she owns a pair of cat ears too! Bitchy catgirl FTW!!! :D

Now I wonder how you guys like the pacing of this so far. I've noticed a couple of people from other forums and blog sites are complaining how it's too slow. I personally don't mind it since this type of set up reminds me of X TV; even though there's a thrilling yet brief action sequence, the most important aspect that drives the series forward is the characters and their interactions with each other. Once the series has progressed, the payoff is seriously well worth it. Hopefully Fate/stay night would do the same.

Given the way my tastes run, slow pacing doesn't bother me too much. Acually, I like it as it is.

Episode 9.......*massive droolage*

The fight between Assassin and Saber was seriously the most top-notch, well-animated action sequence this series has to offer (well so far at least). The BGM by Kenji Kawai was an excellent accompliment to the battle scenes. I MUST have the OST!!!

Now for you Rider fans out there, oh man!!! Anyone who's dying to see her in full action-mode, this episode definetely delivered it especially with her battle against Caster and her hourds of skeleton warriors. And there's a good amount of cleavage shots as well. I wonder if I should post them. 8-)

And the episode ended with a rather heated argument between Saber and Shirou. Though in the end, Saber agreed to let Shirou fight as long she trains him. Let's see where that leads to!

I haven't watched the series yet. I would like to know if that little white-haired girl with that HUEG companion ("Berserker"?) has airtime in the anime.
An image with this very odd couple standing inbetween slain wolves in a snowy forest was the first image I knew from Fate/Stay Night and I liked it very much. But somehow I get the feeling they are just very minor side-characters in the series.

The beginning part of episode 4 fully introduces Illya and her servent Berserker so there's some screentime there. From the looks of the preview of episode 10, she meets up with Shirou and starts cuddling with him at the park bench. I think she has a bigger ploy up in her sleaves.

Hmm, episode 10 was a rather yummy episode because.....

Rin's hair was down while wearing her pajamas.

My face cracked with glee when I saw this.

Should I even bother commenting? 8-)

And Streicher, this episode definetely has more Ilya screentime and her overabundance of cutesiness and saying "Onii-chan~" and messing up Shirou's full name. Gah!!! :x

Next episode, a battle between Saber and Rider!
