I am not sure how it all happened really. I heard it earlier but some how forgot. All though it is rather interesting how they feel towards one another.

It's the ultimate battle of the sexes.

wait now I remember. Ok here it is.

Originall it started as a expedition to find a new place to live because earth was going to the crapper real quick. Well the expedition crash landed and the women seperated from the men and began creating humans in test tubes. After a long time with no one remembering when they actually exsisted together in peace, the women and the men battled with each other.

That's how it happened from what I remember. The only reason they start working together is because earth starts sending out ships to harvest organs from humans because their own bodies decay from the earth's atmosphere.

So now they fight together against the 'Harvest'

Come to think of it, I don't believe it's ever really explained.

Test-tube babies, more or less. Gene splicing and cloning, basically.

what I meant is they can't clone or splice without the egg/sperm cell from each gender....and I don't think they kept enough in storage to last genorations

This is anime, Saber Marionette J used the same method I'm sure...

Cloning 'apparently' in the anime realm doesn't need parents...

Though listening to two guys talking about making a baby is VERY scary...

2 girls on the other hand...

"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)

I say leave the baby-makin-talk- to the lady's thats there area of expertese, but the whole idea of men and wemon living seperated is pretty confusing in itself, so I might by spitting in the wind with these questions.... :| .....
by the way, I watched an episode. when hibiki ran away and found that ship with men and wemon on it....then they all died WTF?? like right when he got his van-type out of there ship they all...like died....I mean he's like a bad luck charm er-sumpin

If tragedy didn't keep happening, main anime dudes don't get strong enough in the end to kick arse and take names...

Lol, i've only seen the first ep of Vandread Stage 1, and i've seen all of Vandread Stage 2.

It's a pretty good show. The "battle of the sexes" is always something interesting, and this show takes it to the extreme. But when Hibiki and the other 2 dudes end up on the girl's ship, that's when things got interesting, especially when the girls like Hibiki... There's a REALLY good twist in there somewhere about one of the characters on the ship, but i'm not gonna say it out loud...

spoiler wrote:Ya know the girl on this ship that helps run it..the one that looks kinda amazonish with tanned skin and wears all that green and stuff..she's really a he... > >

Okay, now i have the urge to do something... ... ... ... "MR ALIEN" XD

Actually, that's not entirely true. The colonies were purposedly made for the "harvest" Each colony had a purpose. Since the two colonies were created for the harvest of sex organs, they purposedly were set up to be seperate in order to have unused organs. Sick, but true.

Also, sorry for the double post.

Rabat's (Rat B*stard, as his name really is a nickname for) people are the only known colony NOT intended for harvesting. They got out of it through a special deal with Earth.
