Does anyone know if they're starting the show over on Adult Swim any time soon?

Hey thanks. That actually helps out a bit.

That is what the final episode and the detective's part in it meant to me at least.

I have to agree! Even though there were signs that some people had learned from their mistakes, it seemed liked there were some things that pointed to another cycle (and not just Manewa). For example:

Spoiler wrote: Some of the conversations people were having (not to mention the resemblance to the first ep.) like I remeber someone saying something about not liking dogs anymore. And it showed people watching a cartoon of a cute little cat. I thought the people were having such a reaction to Miromi that they were trying to go the opposite direction. But they weren't really understanding why Lil' Slugger so they were just going back to using an emotional crutch just like Miromi.

I hope that makes sense. I'm tired and scattered. (I'm pretty sure I misspelled names). But I love the complexity of this show. There were a few episodes in the middle where I thought, "huh? what's going on here and what does this have to do with the rest of the story?". But by the end it made a certain amount of sense, though it warrents much more thought.

I love this show so much!!! It seems so confusing at first but if you follow the show ALL the way through, then you'll see the significance of little slugger. Too bad it was such a short series! :(

I was watching tonight's episode. Originally I jumped in half way and really just got completely lost on what was happening. To me the show was weird and completely off the wall when I jumped in.

I've been watching it from the beggining and I have to this conclusion about the show.

Paranoia Agent had to be one of the most brilliant, well concieved peices of anime culture I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Although confusing at the first the mere extravangance the anime goes to by displaying how important Lil Slugger is to these people is great.

You have people who are being controlled by their own fear and often going through craze fits over conflicts within themselves that they don't think it's possible to escape. Then the story of how Lil slugger is making all these people better becomes a craze throughout the city.
(This explains to me why those three people were looking for him.)
However the onyl way to reach Lil Slugger is to believe there is no way out for you. Hence why those three really couldn't find him.

As well Lil Slugger never truly kills anyone. Infact it's all basically physcological.(If you notice every victim wears a bandage over their head *Hint hint*)

So really I have come to better understand Paranoia Agent and I jsut can't believe how amazing this anime really is. I love it to death and can't wait to finish the whole thing.

It's great.

Better than Boogiepop in my opinion.

I agree, except for the episode where,
The tutor/slut/bar fly. I don't know the name of the episode but the young woman apparently has a split personality disorder and is seeking treatment, but it takes Lil' Slugger to "set her free." And there is the fat kid from school in another episode. Why does he get attacked?

These seem to not quite fit the rest.

One of the better series overall.

<tr><td>dude, that show was fraky. I don't get the whole thingy with the virtual world, or video game or whatever.</td></tr>
</table>

That whole thing was just some kid pretending he was lil slugger. when the detectives asked him why the kid made up a whole video game plot thing about y he did it. the reeson the guy like entered the game was because he was trying to get answers so went with the hole story.
