OKAY! lols now ic an finally write my view.

I cried at the end mind you i cry every time i watch the ep when Vegeta blows himself up *sniff* haha
even so at the very end when Kota(that right isnt it? sorry bbeen wathcing alot of anime atm and cant remember names) see's that vision on Lucy i think it is her spirit. to sort of say that she is still there or something. even a diclonious couldn't survive an attack like that and they were using those guns which their vectors are not strong enough to reflect.
though if it were her then that leaves room for a 2nd series but personally that would ruin it for me.

I just think that was her spirit to sort of calm Kota in a way to know she's fine.

After spending a month in Kentucky I don't think that is such a bad thing.

But seriously the word on the street is that there will be an elfen lied ova soon

Yeah, Yuka and Kouta are literal cousins. In the first episode, Yuka says "Yuka desu, itoko no." which means "I'm Yuka, your cousin from your mother's side."

Yeah, it's rather weird to have cousin relationships in the states, but in Japan, it's not considered unusal. Now if they were brother and sister, that might be rather awkward.

And about the ending of Elfen Lied. Well, I heard the manga goes much farther, but in the manga, Kurama wasn't killed with Mariko, and was involved with the story for other events that happen after the show, mainly with the discovery of Lucy's third persona.

The Elfen Lied OVA is already out in Japan, but came out after the show. ADV has not mentioned any inkling that they have the license to the OVA since they licensed the show before the OVA for Elfen Lied was formed. So you can still get the OVA from Animesuki. Also, since all of Elfen Lied is released on DVD, it wouldn't be smart of ADV to release a 1 episode OVA on a separate DVD.

The OVA takes place during the Elfen Lied series, not before or after the series. It explains why Lucy didn't kill Kurama in episode 1, as well as tie in how Lucy was captured to begin with.

I've only seen two episodes(one in english, another in japanese) and bits and parts of the anime. I still love it, I just wish I knew where I could pick up the DVD. I looked up the Manga on Amazon and it was like, 120$.

anyways....about the ending. so did Lucy survive or what? I'd much rather see her with Kouta opposed to Yuka. cousin's just don't mix in romance, plus she's annoying as hell.

I don't see anyhting wrong with the cousin relationship (lols, I have read alot of weird stuff AKA Angel Sanctuary) It doesn't seme that wrong but I know what ya mean.
I wanted to see Lucy end up with Kota too. They seemed to right for each other.

Its only gory during the first five minutes of the show. Then it calms down until episode 4, but that only lasted for a short while. After that, there are only about 10 people who get decapitated, about 20 - 30 are disembowled, Two are blown up, one is poked in the brain and one is shot a couple hundred times.

For thirteen episodes, that isn't TOO bad.

Overall, I think the show was great. I had no problem with the ending. I felt it justified the show and all.

And the OVA is a continuation of episode 10. Mostly just Nana hearing about an even in Lucy's past following what happened on the train. (Those who saw the show know what I'm talking about here.) It ends with Mayu giving Nana the job of feeding the dog (forget his name).

If you want to check out your tolerance, DL this video. It's not the best, but Its the one that turned me on to Elfen Lied

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?vid_id=76537

It does contain spoilers, but you shouldn't understand them until you've watched the series. Most of the video consists of only one and a half episodes from the series and several characters and side stories are omitted. I suggest not watching past 1:55 to avoid the main spoilers.
