... Gosh, I really haven't given this much thought.
Well, I think Naraku is going to set a huge trap to get the shards that Inuyasha and Koga have. Kikyo will find out about it and try to get there first to stop Naraku. So when Inuyasha shows up, Kikyo is in danger, again.
He rushes to Kikyo's aid as Koga arrives. He's momentarily distracted by Kagome, and swears to protect her and defeat Naraku single handed. This does not go over very well with Inuyasha, who starts yelling at Koga to stay away.
Naraku uses this opportunity to strike at Inuyasha, who gets his abdomen opened up *again*. (How many times is he going to get hit in the same spot before it refuses to heal?) Sango cuts the tenticle off with her Hirakotsu and... I can skip all the fight details, right?
Anyway, Naraku fights off our heroes and tries to kill Kikyo, again, while Sesshomaru shows up. He had followed Naraku's scent and came to kill Naraku for trying to use him, putting Rin in danger, and to avenge Kagura's death.
Naturally, Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, *and* Koga all get into an argument over who gets to throw the killing stroke.
Somewhere in this I figure Koga'll probably get the two shards in his legs torn out, almost putting him out of the fight. (And if he weren't so stuborn, it would.)
Finally, Sesshomaru uses his sword to open a hole to the other side. Naraku is getting sucked in, but is also trying very hard to crawl out.
Inuyasha uses whatever ultimate attack Tetsusaiga has this time around to force Naraku into the hole while either Kagome or Kikyo (possibly both) manage to fire an arrow at Naraku.
In the resulting explosion the jewel is thrown free of the hole and Naraku is completely obliterated. Finally at peace, Kikyo's fake body disintegrates into dust. Probably in Inuyasha's arms. She tells him that it's all right and that his concern should be for Kagome.
Kagome picks up the jewel and adds the remaining fragments to it so it becomes whole almost whole. The only missing piece is the shard in Kohaku's back.
Kohaku offers to return the shard, but Sango doesn't want him too, because he'll die. He tells her not to worry and cuts it out of his back. He falls, everyone thinking he's dead. Sesshomaru isn't so convinced and tells Kagome that she should treat that wound.
At first Kagome wonders if Sesshomaru understands what's going on, but then she notices that Kohaku is breathing. It's shallow, but it means he's alive. When she says that, Sango rushes to Kohaku, insisting that she tend to her brother's wounds.
With the jewel now whole, Miroku asks what they're going to do with it. Inuyasha grabs it, declaring that he knows exactly what to do with it.
Uneasy feelings all around.
"I'm going to destroy it!"
The jewel glows. Because of Inuyasha's desire to be rid of it and all the pain it causes, the jewel is purified.
Sesshomaru makes some rather condecending yet congratulatory statement and leaves. Koga gets on Inuyasha's case for destroying the jewel while Kagome and the others defend him. Kagome finally states plainly that she loves Inuyasha, causing both Inuyasha and Koga to turn bright red.
Only admittind defeat temporarily, Koga leaves (though maybe not right away). Once alone, Inuyasha asks Kagome if she really meant that and she replies that of course she did, why would she go through all that if she didn't? They end up having an argument that Miroku, Sango, and Shippo comment on while they eavesdrop from behind some bushes.
Kagome does return to her time, but Inuyasha comes to visit very often and they eventually get married.
Miroku and Sango get married.
Rin and Kohaku stay friends and show signs that they too will eventually get married.
Sesshomaru and Inuyasha still don't speak to each other except in threats and put downs.
And Koga finally has to give up on Kagome.
Wow. That was a lot of detail right off the top of my head.
