*phew* Thanks for that. Hopefully my n00b streak will wear off soon. O.O

Does anyone know which episode it is when Inuyasha saves a little girl from a burning house? I believe later in that episode his hat flies off and the little girl sees his ears. Does anyone know which episode that was?

Thanks! I checked it out on Inuyasha World. LOL!

It's too bad they probably won't rerun the episode for a while.

I just thought about something!
You now how most people say that Sesshomaru got the moon on his forehead from his mom....well I think it's from his dad!
:?:
It's basic Genetics,I think. You see InuYasha looses his demon powers during the new moon right? So that kind that has to have something to do with it,coincidence?I think not!We have never seen an ep. or movie looking at their grandparents,so they could have had the moon somewhere, and InuTaisho was just a carrier of the trait and it didn't physically show on him.(unless he did have it and we just couldn't see) So if he was just a carrier it might have skipped a generation and landed on Sesshomaru. And they could have had some sort of connection with the moon or somethin' and when it's gone Inu's demonic powers are gone as well!
I never thought that there would be the day...when this this sig would be upgraded.

Sesshomaru means something along the lines of 'end of the cycle of life', I think.

Oh, and Inutaishou isn't their dad's actual name. It means 'great dog lord' so it's more likely a title. At least that's how most fan sites handle it.
I am a rabid Inuyasha fangirl! Fear me!

Hm....I'm pretty sure Sesshomaru means "destruction of life". Ironic ^_^U.

Inutaisho is probably as close as anyone is going to get to Inuyasha's father's name. Even in the third movie credits it said "Inuyasha's father".
(It also said his voice was done in english by the same guy that does Jaken's voice. O.O)
My guess is A) Rumiko Takahashi is being secretive and won't tell us until the last manga. B) Rumiko Takashi is too lazy to make up a name for him. C) She keeps forgetting to.

At least those are my guesses.

see the third movie, you'll get why he loses his demon-ness on the night of the new moon. And it shows their father (which I was amazed at btw) and that will show you where the moon comes from
In case you cant get the movie: MAJOR SPOILER wrote: Inuyasha was born on the night of the new moon, his father also died that night in battle with the man that was with his mother (Isaiyoi... sp??) before his father was. That man killed Isaiyoi while in labor and Inu's father brought her back to life with the tenseiga. After that he said "the child shall be called Inuyasha" and went off to fight this guy so she could run away with Inu... SO night of the new moon is when he was born. And the father I believe had a moon on his head... he had the red lines on the cheeks too, I think he had a moon somewhere... The movie also tells why each brother got the sword they did, fantastic movie.

I've already seen the 3rd movie many times but... After reading this, a question came up into my mind! If Inuyasha was born in the new moon night (when he usually becomes human) why did he have his half-demon form at his birth?
And anyway I agree with pink_hedgehog, the 3rd movie is wonderful! 8-)

I thought his name was Killing Perfection(Sesshomaru)and yes I did know that InuTaisho wasn't his ACTUAL givin name,it's just what people decided to call him.

As for your question,Silvyfirst,I really don't know.
.....yeah....just leave it to me to post a new,and interesting topic then bail on it later.....but I don't mean to it's just I've got a lot of going on.

I think hes born half demon form just because thats what he normally is and they did it so people wouldnt get confused as to why the eff he has black hair when he was born. Some people cant make that connection, plus hes just so damn cute that way! Also if youre one of those people that watch movie 3 before every other movie and episode in the series ( :x ), you wouldnt have any idea that that was even Inuyasha at all.
I sorta asked that question myself when I watched the movie too. I thought either that reason or they would explain it later like "he wasnt cursed with being human on the new moon till he was 5 when his father came back from the dead and threw a rock at sesshomaru and it accidentally hit inuyasha and knocked him out and when he woke up he saw the new moon and was cursed from then on."

It doesn't matter who he hit or tried to hit with a rock or not cause that's Child Abuse!

no, child abuse is throwing Shippo 50ft into the woods, and bopping that guys kid in the head several times to "knock some sense into him".
Life is but a dream.....So what happens when you wake up?
