Ouch.

I've been curious about the games, too, but haven't been able to afford them or a Playstation. *sigh*

I have the first game, and beat the second, I also have the one for DS. I've been looking to import the other games (about 3 or 4?) but......you have to do something to your PS2??........eep.
whats kainda funny is that Ed's 5'6", and he's taller than me. ............and he's called short..............*sigh*

Yeah, you'd have to mod them in order for them to get past what's basically a "region code," like on DVDs.
When I did it (which was, mind, years ago) I had to solder a chip onto the circuit board of the playstation. >< I'm pretty sure they have less invasive ways of accomplishing the same thing now, I just haven't looked into it in a long time.
The other thing you'll want to remember is that the game will be in Japanese, so unless you can read Japanese, you won't really have a clue as to what's going on.

I knew it would be in Japanese, so...........

....I've been trying to learn, but the chances of me being able to read any kanji in the game.....eheheh, yeah right. But my brother tends to skip all the talking and do fine, but there are always online translations, right?

.....I REALLY hope I don't have to open up my PS2 and mess with it.......I'm not Winry--I'm horrible with that kind of stuff...... :?

I find the anime has many small plotholes that no one seems to notice.

Around the end I remember Ed transmuting a new hand for himself or something. Ok...if he could do that why did he have to call Winry all those other times?

It's...not very good to me...

that's one of the many resons the manga is SO much better. The manga came first, so if you think the anime is iffy, the manga is bound to be better, right?

Absolutely possatutely. You gotta read the manga. The story is so much bigger and there are a lot more characters and a lot more comedy and ...

His auto-mail gets busted up, and he transmutes it into a stationary "hand" that's basically just a slab of metal, the fingers don't work or anything.

Apart from the series of 51 episodes and the movie of course,I've found out through Anidb that there are lots of parody episodes and some 10 minute specials.I have 2 of them but there are more as I see. Those who do not know what I'm talking about, check this page:

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=979

And so I wonder if these specials can be found anywhere or there are in the original dvds for example.

Hmm, I know about the Chibi Party OVA (which was apparently on the special edition DVD?), the State Alchemists vs. the homonculi, and the "future" one.
Don't know about those "parody" eps they list, though... maybe something on the JP DVDs? Like, VAs goofing off or something?

And seeing that the parody episodes are not 2-3 minutes long, like the Mai-Hime and the Shakugan No Shana specials,I'm even more eager to find them. :D

Those parodies must be fun. Anyone know if they're available in the US?

Full Metal Alchemist... Perhaps one of the best animes that I have ever been able to see. I like the story plot and the ideas. The art style is pretty much so... so.... I have seen all the episodes of FMA. And the bonus: State Alchemists vs Homunculli.... I have yet to watch the movie...
