That was one of the earlier episodes. If that disturbed you, don't watch the rest of series. :P

The manga and the anime are completely different, so even if you've seen the series you can still enjoy the manga.

"Night of the Chimera's Cry"? oh man, my sister and I watched that, and it is definetley sad. Even my stone-hearted sister (bad thing to say, I know) thought so. Therefore it must be. *sob* Poor Ed was so upset...

The Japanese and the English are both good (to me at least). But I saw Fullmetal vs. Flame in Japanese, then I saw it in English. I must say, I really prefer it in Jap. ^.^; I don't know why, maybe 'cause Roy's just funnier in it....

Yeah I have to say one of the things that makes Fullmetal Alchemist so cool and addictive is that it is prepared to get into some messed up and disturbing stuff like genocide and mass murder. I think the overall message of the series is trying to show the darker side of human nature.

The best way to watch it is in Japanese, for sure... I wouldn't say the dub is exactly -that- bad, but some secondary character voices crack me out sometimes...

..The Spanish dub does suck a lot, voices are innexpressive, Al talks like a girl and Ed... Well, His voice suck.

I don't think the DVDs are out for those episodes yet. They're still being released in English, so pretty soon they should come out.

I agree, the dub for FMA is actually quite good. I still prefer the Japanese version though, personally, but I'm just more of a sub fan in general, and I saw the series first in Japanese, so those voices are more embedded into my head for the characters.

Fullmetal Alchemist is the best anime in the world! That episode was very depressing... So are they all. But it's still rediculously funny and uplifting!
