Cowboy Bebop Confrontation (LOOK HERE!!!)

Postby Spikebomb00 » Thu Jan 13, 2005 10:38 pm

Okay, this question has been in the back of my mind for the LONGEST time: Which Cowboy Bebop episode is better? Ballad of Fallen Angels or The Real Folk Blues sessions? All my friends that like it say it's either one or the other. So, what's your opinion and why?
Here's mine: The Real Folk Blues sessions just because Vicious dies. (Sorry all you Vicious lovers, I just never really liked him that much, but he was, I admit, an excellent villian. Unfortunately, that why needed to die.)I also have many more reasons but I'll save you the length of this post and not tell you because I've said it in some of my other posts and you've probably all read it before.
So feel free to answer honestly as long as it's related to the topic. Away you go. I'm curious. TELL ME!!!!!!!
COWBOY BEBOP
The work. Which will become a genre in itself, will be called...

No contest. ep 5. Its like my favorite! it also has the best scene. The conflict is the greatest in that ep. more conflict than all the other 25 that is. I think conflict is what really drives CB.

Ballad of Fallen Angel all the way

Postby cookie17 » Thu Jan 13, 2005 11:46 pm

I love Cowboy Bebop really more than any other anime that i own or have seen. And Ballad of Fallen Angel is my personal Favorite it show Spike being a bad ass and at the end with him falling out the window. genious. And the reason The real folk Blues are not my favorite is just because it gets you so involved in the charectors and in all honesty that episode made me cry....cry. that is hard to say.
love cowboy bebop probably because i look like spike

I would have to say the Real Folk Blues Part 1 and 2. With ballad as a close second. Just because the ending was perfect and was sad but really really great. Best Anime ending ive seen..possibly movie too.

Episode 26 is definitely better - it's just a lot more emotionally charged than episode 5. The reasons?
- It was more emotionally charged than Fallen Angels
- Vicious died, w00t
- Spike gave a sense of conclusion to the serious

Now I'm not saying ep. 5 was bad - far from it, I think it and maybe Jupiter Jazz were the other best eps of the serious. But RFB II was just awesome - best viewed at 1AM with all the lights in your room out :D

I would have to say that Ballad of Fallen Angels was the best in the series. I absolutely LOVED it, and it had wonderful music. It was good enough to make me want to cry. (I almost did... )
And so ends another episode of wasting time with Faye...

.........made you sad that Vicious died? Cmon, he's a cold blooded dude...he's really not a villian deserving of pity in my opinion.

Yea he was cool, but he still was a butthole...I'm glad Spike put a round through him, put him out of his misery. :)

Still, one of the best anime villians I've come across so far - I will definitely give you that. 8-)

Vicious would probably still be alive, Spike and Julia probably would've run off to someplace like Venus or Europa, and the Bebop would still be down one helluva bounty hunter. Still, sadly, she needs to die for the series to have meaning and finality - it sucks, but its necessary.
