Well, I suppose taht could be, but explaining pen-pen is a bit like trying to decypher Tom Bombadil from the lord of the rings. SOme things aren't meant to be know I guess.

Well I think we should all support the plot to Kidnap Anno. THen we might get some answers like what the fuck if with pen pen and what does Gendo says to Ritsuko.

Tom Bombadil is just above that sort of thing. But the fact is, in the end he would have fallen victim to The Dark Lord just like everyone else if the quest had not succeeded.

As for kidnapping Anno. I'm all for that... as long as I can force him to make more Kare Kano episodes after we get all the EVA answers we need.

I don't think he'll ever tell us about Pen Pen though, he'll be like "Ahaha, you can kill me, but then you'll never know the truth!"

I agree to that theory. To any extent, Pen-Pen is a very wise penguin, to say the least. And I do have another question. It may sound very stupid, but what happens first: does Asuka's mom kill herself or does her dad get himself a new girlfriend? And also, when is the 9th edition of the manga coming out?

it goes like this, this may take a while.
when shinji was a child, his mother yui ikari was experimenting with the eva unit 1 when it whent catastrophic and completely assimulated her. her spirit is inside the eva and it protects him sometimes. so she still alive in a way. just for more spoilers when yui was pregnant gendo,(shinjis dad) said "if its a boy, we name it shinji, if its a girl, we name it rei. after yui died, they used some of yui's DNA to make rei, so gendo treats her like a daughter. (well, more kindly then he treats shinji.)
So,... thats the story.

What chya' talkin' 'bout Five God Dragon? gepetto was talking about Asuka.

As for manga volume 9, as far as I know it may never come out. I know that Sadamoto has currently stalled and hasn't worked on the EVA manga for many months, and I assume that #9 doesn't exist yet.

Speaking of Yui what exactly is her connection to the EVa project and NERV. I know she was absorbed by Unit - 01. BUt is she the creator the one who came up with the lets go to antartica and get our ass kicked by god? Justa question thats been nagging at me.

as far as asuka's dad's friskiness goes...
i'm assuming that he got re-married/got gf AFTER momma went crazy
but that's only what i would assume, i don't remember any hardcore evidence pointing in either direction

and as for the Yui thing...
Yui was actually a member of Seele when she was alive, her connections to fundings and other resources are what attracted Gendo to her
she was indeed involved with the creation of Evangelion, as since they were her creations, she was the first test subject, that's back when she was absorbed by Unit 01, it's possible that there were no errors during the experiment, imo, Unit 01 probably absorbed her in order to obtain a soul which it didn't have until then, but i have no proof to back up the theory that Eva's WANT souls or that they NEED them in any way, all we know is that they are able to HOLD them

Interesting, I'd assume that the eva's being able to hold a soul is the same premis as Rei. Why does uni 01 hate Rei it only seems to want to have Shinji piloting, is that because of the whole mother son thing?

Isn't that kind of the point of Evangelion. To keep you guessing and thinking of your own explanations for the series. I'm sure that's how the series is intended to be. But maybe I missed the point completely. Well, I agree, EOE and D:R definitely cleared up a few things, but it's still up to the viewer in my opinion!

End of Evangelion cleared almost everything up except for a few questions like what does gendo say to Ritsuko. Thats artistic only however, it has little to do with the series.

Death and Rebirth had no point to me it was only a series recap I see little meaning in it.

As far a gaugeing your own conclusions I fully agree, but I fyou are super desperate for answers you can find a link on gaia that gives youa ll the answers that can be give, like the creators resoning for Shinji trying to choke asuka.
