ANN wrote:The corrupt pure-love story revolves around Kasuga Takao, a bookish boy who loves the poems of Charles Baudelaire (the original author of the poetry collection Les Fleurs du mal or Flowers of Evil). One day after school, he discovers and steals the gym clothes of Saeki Nanako, the girl he has a crush on. However, he learns that Nakamura Sawa, a girl he loathes, happens to catch him in the act. Nakamura blackmails Kasuga into a contract, or else she will reveal his secret.

The manga is really awesome and i expect great thing from the anime.
I just hope they won't make a half-assed end, with no 2 season (lol, zecxs)

If you were in expectation based on the manga, you're in for disappointment.

*sigh*
Oh well. I'll keep watching it just to see how things will go. At least they managed to keep it creepy.

Following. Having not really read the manga, I was actually pleasantly surprised when I saw the rotoscope.
I understand this is supposed to be a disturbing kind of story... it fits.
Some people never potato, however.

I think I'm the 1% who really likes the rotoscoped style. Lovin' the show so far; just the right amount of creepy.

During ep02 I started wondering if this is meant to be a deconstruction of the typical high school anime ero-comedy. Usually the consequences for a male protagonist getting caught stealing a girl's gym clothes, or (unintentionally) face-planting into a girl's boobs, is a brief outburst of angry retaliation from the victim, and amusement from everyone else. Watching these familiar scenes played out in AnH is like watching a man slip on a banana peel and break his spine, or take a pie in the face and lose an eye.

Kasuga's crushing sense of guilt is conveyed beautifully. It manages to be completely over the top, but at the same time nauseatingly realistic.

What the hell is up with this anime... just a bunch of misfortune all from 1 thing. His classmates are also all cunts.
