ANN wrote:The story is set in Japan a millennium from now. Five children — the protagonist Saki, Satoru, Maria, Mamoru, and Shun — have been born and raised in a tranquil town that can be described as a utopia, overflowing with water and green foilage. The world is ruled by people who have the cursed power or the gods' power of telekinesis.

After a certain incident, Saki and the others come to realize the true nature of their world. Before long, they learn everything, including the bloody history that brought humanity to this state. The five throw themselves into life-threatening adventure and fighting to protect friends and a world on the brink of collapse.

Pretty good so far. There's nothing really bad that I can point out just yet.
Also,
Spoiler :
dear God, that starry river scene was really nice.

Random trivia from other forums I visit: the scene at the beginning of ep 3 which is reminiscent of TTGL is by Jun Arai. No coincidence. ;)

I really hope this show achieves the same level of greatness throughout. I loved the hell out of episode 1, episode 2 was pretty cool and episode 3 was a little slower I thought but seemed to pick itself up a little more once
Spoiler :
the spirit introduced itself.
I'm really hoping the thing about seeing the cat spirit is references again though. It's like they just... left it. Obviously it's important, though.
(And the disappearing kids that no one seems to notice? Wonder if that's got something to do with the hypnosis).

What's really bad is that MAL's synopsis spoiled what's going to happen for the next 2-3 episodes. :l

So don't read the MAL synopsis everyone. ;__;

Spoiler :
Seriously though, this latest episode looked more like an animatic than an actual finished episode...I spotted multiple pieces of background art that were clearly drawn with a tablet and just scribbled in...I hope this isn't an indication of how things will continue...this ep felt like a whole different show compared to the first 3...
