Spoiler :
he set the pain level to 1. Pail level wasn't any kind of stat. Is probably a safety setting for everyone in the game.

Spoiler :
No. The pain level was set to 0. He set his user level to 1, as in access to the system. Basically, Kirito took away Delicious Tears-kun admin powers (and that's why he wasn't able to summon the sword).
Who else LOL'd hard at the DELICIOUS TEARS scene? Man, possibly the funniest scene in the show yet.

Delicious Tears-kun was so weak after all.

Well, it's over now. And yes, watching delicious tears-kun crying (in two episodes) was very satisfying, they should have skipped all the romantic crap at the end and just had his crying scene on a loop for the whole last episode.

Anyway, personally I never really liked Kirito, he falls into the "If you do something with all your heart and soul you will succeed" category, whereas I prefer a main character who actually is able to think rationally in tight situations. But it was still a good series overall.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person to think that, haha.

It's interesting that after going to all the trouble of saving Asuna, it felt like more of the focus went to Leafa at the end. Not really a bad thing, but still interesting to note.

Also, after all the MMOs being shut down, It seems like having all these new servers, games and such brought back to a point where ANYONE could use and modify them would be kinda...problematic? But there's no way this show could have had a completely happy end without the game coming back, wouldn't feel right.
