AniDB wrote:The story takes place in Seikyou Private School. A facility that consists of multiple buildings that connect together to accommodate both junior and senior high school students. Sixty years of ongoing renovations and expansions have meant most of the old inner structures have been sealed and abandoned. Classrooms turned into storage rooms, staircases no longer in use, hallways like dark alleys. With the existence of such a maze-like building, it is only natural that rumours of the paranormal would appear.
One day first-year middle school student Niiya Teiichi gets lost in this maze and by chance arrives at an old storage room. This is where he meets Kanoe Yuuko, a mysterious girl with raven black, long silky hair and a tall and slender figure, who introduces herself as the ghost of the old school building. For some unexplainable reason Niiya is the only one able to see this spirit and she herself does not have any recollection of the reasons or time of her death, nor any lingering feelings about life itself. Curious about the circumstances of her death the two create a paranormal investigation club and seek to find out the truth about it and the many other mysteries surrounding the school.

Re: Tasogare Otome x Amnesia
Last time Oonuma and Silver Link worked together, we got C3, which was honestly terrible. It was sad to see Oonuma slow go down. He started with PaniPoni Dash, and did other good shows for SHAFT, then in Silver Link he did BakaTest, which I quite liked, then he did the BakaTest sequels which weren't quite up to par with s1 for me, then he did C3... and now this.
I want to believe in Oonuma, so will follow this one, I just hope I won't get betrayed.
Episode 1 was so and so. It was different from the beginning of the manga, however I believe the way he took on it was correct as to catch the attention of new viewers (starting like the manga would have made for a slow and uninteresting start).
OTOH, the "recycling" deal (you know what I mean when you watch the episode) wasn't exactly to my liking. Rather than being a willfull choice, it mostly felt like it was done to cut on expenses, which surely doesn't feel nice at all. I guess I'll wait on episode 2, now.

It's because Oonuma has directed shows for SHAFT in the past. He directed PaniPoni Dash, Negima!?, the two ef, and Natsu no Arashi. It's the same reason why people said they were getting SHAFT vibes from BakaTest.Kain-x-spirits wrote:It almost looks like a shaft anime haha.

I truly enjoyed this. There are some questions that lie like how come the girl with the short green hair knew about Yuuko and such (or it at least seems that way)
Even tho I'm gonna keep this in my 2-3 best of the season for now. They executed it really well

Re: Tasogare Otome x Amnesia
you know what's the funny situation Martin? This show will appear also in my Prelude to Death II
I was surprised that the first episode reminded me to the Prelude, man it just deserves its place there.
Returning to the thread:
I thought also in Another, as its counterpart, even when both shows don't have any relaionship

This show seems like a light hearted version of "Another". Its one of the few shows that I'm definitely watching this season.
