The death was kind of predictable though. "Hey, let me swim far into the ocean when there's a curse upon us. I'm sure everything will be alright". Yeah, right.
I'm betting the guy wrote some riddle on the heavily scratched school desk.

lmao I totally agree with you lol

Spoiler :
I really thought we were going to go a whole episode without anyone dying. However, the show again fails to disappoint. Also loved the copious fanservice this episode. Akazawa-chan <3

To be honest, I don't know as I would really call that fanservice. The beach scenes were important to the plot and it's not like things were jiggling all over the place (or at all, if I recall correctly). Actually, it's a bit refreshing to see things drawn like they don't have to be governed by the Navier-Stokes equations.

Anyhoo, on a rather different note, it looks as though a sequel to the novel's being written. I wonder what the odds are of a sequel anime being made down the road.

Is it bad that I lol'd at the end of this episode? It was like, so drawn out and was like "oh wait, he's okay" but then

Spoiler :
NICE BOAT

I lost it. But still enjoying the show so far...if nothing else that was a different take on a beach episode if I ever saw one.

Spoiler :
I loved his aunt's driving habits once they got out of the city.

That's the reason why ANother needs love. I mean, which kind of show will start showing horror/gore plot, make a kind of 'pause' for a little fanservice, and then went to dead? Artistic, just artistic :3

Spoiler :
The fact that the tape cut off when it did made me rage...I reeeally want to know what was coming next >:O
I actually stopped what I was doing (photoshopping things) and like, actually paid attention to the recording.
And now we have two more meaty deaths. I'm a bad person for lolling at the car flying off the cliff D:

Yeah me too :(
But that's what keeps the creepy mood: At least we have a reason to keep watching until the end. Props Another 8-)

Finally started to watch this up until Ep 9.

Spoiler :
Take away all the dying, and this is actually a pretty cute romance story!
I still have that random Kouichi X Mei dance stuck in my head.
Who would've thought that we'd actually get to see a BEACH EPISODE??!!
That random lightning kill made me burst into laughing.

Oh and I had a "Weirdest Halo 3 kill" flashback when I saw this:

Spoiler :
Sort of cliche cliffhanger/stupidity going on in ep 9 but damn me the bulldozer death was amusingly creative. Struck by lightning/falling off a cliff x2 were predictable though.
Now, what's on the tape I wonder. My gut feeling tells me that the guy actually had to kill another member of the class as sacrifice or something.

Dem cliffhangers, they're killing me >.>
Spoiler :
The guy that stopped the calamity turned out to be lucky beyond belief. 5% chance of killing the right person and he nailed him it.
Mei's cousin being actually her sister was a bit of a shocker. I still lol'ed at the "I can see dead people" part though.
Two major questions remain: who is the dead person and who did Teshigawara injure/kill.
