For its citizens, however, life has not improved, and unemployment, crime, suicide, and despair are rampant. Kimimaro, raised by his maternal grandmother after the disappearance of his father and the death of his mother, is a scholarship student whose only dream is to avoid all this and live a stable life. One day, however, he meets a man who offers him a large sum of money if he'll agree to pay it back. From then on his fate is radically altered as he's drawn into a mysterious area known as "The Financial District."

Grr, that was an irritating place to end the first ep!
But looks like this show will be pretty interesting. The art style is a little odd to me [And kinda familiar though I cant place it], but it'll grow on me Im sure.

I still need to look this show upChained(E)Studio wrote:Gankutsuou ??

Ep 2 was pretty cool, but a little too fast paced - The whole game seemed barely explained/explained on the fly, so I ended up trying more to figure out what was going on then actually enjoying the battle. Mashu's injuries were a little odd too, as she would be gravely injured and covered in blood in one scene, then the very next scene she was perfectly fine and bloodless. I understand that she says she heals quickly, but let's at least have a transition between the two >>
It also occurred to me that some shots use cel-shaded 3D models rather than traditional animation, which was interesting. It actually blends surprisingly well for once. Haven't a clue why they do it, but still works.
Also, this ep had the problem of the acting not quite matching the visuals to some extent. The characters would sound like they were flipping out, but only looked mildly surprised.
I like this show...really.

Re: [C] The Money of Soul and Possibility Control
Yeah everything was moving a bit too fast in episode 2, but the show's still holding my interest.
I noticed the slight CGI/cel-shaded animation in episode 1 with the Mad Hatter-type character, and I do agree that they've blended it in quite well with the 2D animation.
I think I might be able to watch episode 3 tonight, so I'll be looking forward to that. =]
