How did I miss that a thread for this was in existence? Anyhow, watched on the first day it aired and have been hooked since.

My thoughts exactly!

Bah! Anything with Robert Englund and zombies is practically instant win in my book.

Well... It was a steamy episode... ... :ying:. Still had plenty of serious moments though, good blending so neither got too tired. Boner mood killing comment =. The next episode pretty much determines whether or not I can use this in an upcoming AMV idea... PLEASE LET IT BE EPIC MADHOUSE, PLEASE.

I was just facepalming the whole time. The fanservice is just way the fuck too over the top. The gun otaku scene was pretty win though, I was wondering when they'd gear up :3

The show's entire premise lives off being gratuitous so I can't fault it. Their intent is clearly over the top sexy and over the top violence. It's the same thing as Tenjou Tenge basically. If Tenjou Tenge didn't have sexy female T&A it wouldn't have the same appeal or market success it had.

Now if folks personally don't enjoy over the top violence and sex that's another story.

Yeah, I guess it's more of a personal thing. Probably stems from my desire to see something along the lines of Shaun of the Dead the anime. :p

Yea that's a hard thing to get from JP guys especially if its an otaku show. The closest thing to a comedy + horror mix I can think of is occult academy. Thing is true pop Japanese humor doesn't really meld well with horror. It's gag stuff. The best thing I can think of was a segment on one of the Downtown Gaki no Tsukai batsu game specials. It was basically a long segment of guys freaking out at the simplest things. Keep in mind even for otaku mainstream gag stuff is popular. Look at Arakawa, Masaru-san, Gag Manga Byori, and countless others that never got anime that have been popular in Jump and the like for years. But if you look at those they are often so random or non sequitur it's going to be hard to mix them with zombie violence. I think you need really need to go either slapstick or dark comedy.

its 3 o clock in the morning for me, i have practice in a few hours and i still managed to wake up to watch this show! , I really enjoyed this episodes, serously the only thing wrong with the episode was they wasted a good 3 or 4 minutes just showing the girls in provockitive poses, like serously just cut it out already :| we get it the nurse has big breast and so does every other teenage girl in this anime, maybe not as much action but it did play some role in the plot
Spoiler :
OMG THEY ADDED A LITTLE DOG AND A LITTLE GIRL TO THE GROUP!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D, Kinda messed up what they did to the dad, serously they didnt have to kill him, just tell them to leave, and they could have atleast taken the girl after kill her dad RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. the dog seems like its gonna get the team in alot of trouble tho, seeing how he/she attracted the zombies to the gate, AND started licking takashi chin, right in the middle of walking the borders

Holy shiiiiiiit. I HELLA APPROVE of this episode. THANK YOU MADHOUSE.

To all the fanservice haters.... HATERS GONNA HATE.

I'm actually honestly enjoying (some) of the fanservice (not so much the kind of stuff in the bathub episode) do to the "There's a zombie apocalypse going on and we don't give a fuck, BRING IT." attitude. Kinda adds to the overall mentality IMO of losing part of your humanity/sanity in this kind of crisis. In most animes it just seems like... lolboobsnstuff...

This episode pretty much sealed the deal on me buying blu-rays when available. Anything after is just a bonus.
