First half of episode 4 is plagued with flashbacks. I'm disappointed, Madhouse.

Second half makes up for it on the condition that you've got an uncensored version. The only 720p I found was censored to hell, and I had to settle for lower quality.

Flashbacks in the 4th episode already?
Give me a break, that's ridiculous.Thank god, after the 7th minute we got real action but seriously, the pace wasn't quite good in this ep.Also, too much censoring...
Also,on a quick notice, each chapter of the manga is exactly one episode so far.

GG released an uncensored version, well some of it uncensored anyway.

But yeah 8 or so minutes worth of flashbacks is kind of retarded only 4 episodes in. I'm guessing they feel like they are moving too fast. Didn't seem like it was to me though. I got some good material from the rest of the episode out of this so I can't really be disappointed yet.

There's just something about opera and devastation that go so well together :asd: .

So uh, Rei's breasts are apparently made of stress balls.

Browsing around other forums, people are saying that each ep = 1 chapter of the manga, and there wasn't much to go off of in the latest ep, therefore flashbacks. I dunno how legit that is, but that would 'explain' the flashback [Because heaven forbid they make new content or merge chapters...].

I did read some of the manga a while back, and I remember that when [Insertmaincharacter'snamehere] smashed the cash register, he thought to himself about how he started to enjoy the 'new world' he was in. That bit was absent from the anime, which is weird as I thought it was an interesting trait. I mean, the guy doesnt have much else, personality wise.

Also, the three spend a good five minutes yelling, but what alerts 'Them'? The baseball bat hitting the ground.

Ep5 - that was indeed great.Lots of action and more characters.
The extra fight scenes, which by the way aren't part of the manga, are wicked sick.I definitely prefer this type of development to the one of manga chapter 5...
Notice also the references to 28 Days (and Weeks) later when Takagi says about small protected communities...

If they are gonna deviate a bit from the manga... and this is what happens when they do. I won't complain :ying: . This episode is made of win.

Looks like the bathtub episode is next, I'ma watch it still just for the lawls + i'm guessing they might do the next part on the same episode and shrink the tub part in this way. It's not so bad since most of the fanservice thus far has had some comedy along with it  .

Definitely show of the season for me so far though i figured it would be anyway. It's too bad they never did a zombieland Hum-V reference :awesome: .

Not a Hum-Vee reference, but does 'Double tap' work?

I'd say this episode definitely made up for the bit of flashback last ep - the slow-mo scene of Hirano firing his gun made the whole ep worth it in itself. That whole fight was pretty awesome.

I don't fully understand why the other students are so taken with Shidou. I know they are in the middle of a crisis and are looking to be lead around, but the guy comes off as such a creeper that it's hard to imagine people wanting to follow him. I dunno, maybe it's just something made more obvious to the viewer.

Next week should be....interesting. xD

This series is so badass. That whole scene from when he drives the motorcycle onto the bridge to when the last zombie hits the ground was fucking win. I'm probably going to watch it a few times.
I gotta say, tubby is probably my favorite character right now. I don't know if he has a split personality, is bipolar or what but the series wouldn't be half as awesome without him. He can kill 100 zombies, shoot his teacher, then act like a little kid minutes later lol.
I know i bitched about the fan service a lot, but i'm starting to appreciate it more now that it works and isn't just put in for the sake of having a few panty shots.

I actually got that reference the moment he said it, I was more or less saying the part with "Thank god for rednecks," or the part where they found a dismembered arm holding the steering wheel and the guy lifts the middle finger of it and shows it to the other guy. <= epic lawlz.
