So well, ep 1 has aired, and it actually looks like the series is going to be quite some cool shit.
No subs out yet so I had to kinda sorta guesslate with the raw, but it seems pretty interesting. I only played the beginning of the vn with a texthooker, but from what I was able to understand then, and what I'm understanding now, they did a more than decent job at making the first ep work out.

Its cute, but a few too many pantyshots for my taste. Hopefully the plot will make up for that.

Seen ep 2. Seems like things will be getting interesting. But this show oughta be renamed to 11pantsu. Also, the almost tentacle rape scene at the end of the last episode wasn't a preview but just a random scene at the end of the episode. :?

Please tell me I'm not the only person watching this show.

There's one episode left, and I am absolutely stunned at what this show has the balls to do.
Allow me to praise this show for a moment because I have a VERY good feeling that I won't enjoy the final episode because there are only a few ways that I think it could happen and none of them sit well with me.
Spoiler :
These last three episodes had a literal bloodbath. Ever since the bad guys turned out to be the good guys, the cast has been trimming down due to sudden death of all its characters. At the end of episode 11, there is literally no one left to fight. Everyone is dead. The bad guy won and the world is quickly being consumed in darkness. My god, its been a thrill. And the best part is that it is so unfeeling this show is about it all. Half of the characters were killed off-screen, with someone telling the heroes about it afterward or the heroes walking in to find the body mangled and covered in blood. This show is brutal.

This show also pulled the same shit as Fate/stay night with "Sex will make you stronger," but this take they didn't pussy out and pull the "dragon in my vagina" crap like in the FSN anime. They came out and said it, and then they did it. No bullshit.

I think I would be satisfied with this episode being the last one, because I can smell the foul reek of a "power of friendship--deus ex machina" final episode, and that is the last thing I want. But who knows maybe I'll be surprized. It hasn't disappointed so far. It's just that if that isn't it, then how are they going to fill an entire episode? I have no fucking clue, but it would be different, and thats what makes it unique and entertaining.
Also, don't let the pantyshots in the first episode turn you off. They're practically non-existant after the first episode.

Best show of the season I'm declaring.
(Besides Kimi ni Todoke, but shoujo anime doesn't count)

Actually I decided to hold onto it and watch it in its full hd bluray release glory. First BD comes out on the 25th. :o

But still I'd say Trapeze is more worthy of the show of the season title.

Well, it was ultimately what I anticipated, but a brilliant way of doing things nonetheless. The ending far exceeded my expectations, and did not leave me disappointed.

9/10

Well, I was a bit behind and finally managed to catch up and marathon this. And what a ride it was. I think the choice they did with the ending is quite perfects since, well... it satisfies everyone. Basically...
Spoiler :
If you want, you can pretend ep 12 doesn't exist and just watch this as a BAD END show. If you want the good end, watch ep 12, and it still won't be disappointing. I think that they did it this way so that they could satisfy those that wanted a school days end, but the way the eye works allows for both paths to be taken. Best decision imho. Just half assing the premonition and giving the good end immediately wouldn't have felt the same - doing it this way had a sort of META feeling to it, since it ends up being a lot more immersive, sort of makes you feel on your own skin what having a premonition is.
Oh well, in any case, it was a very good show, I'm surprised how it ended up being underrated, a shame imho. Definitely one of the few anime that didn't half ass the visual novel adaptation. I actually honestly doubt it could have been much better, so I'll agree with the 9/10 rating of Ishbalan.
