I watched the first ova a few days ago and though I usually dig this kind of stuff, I have to say I found it quite mediocre.. It had some cool scenes but overall it just didn't get me.
I'll watch the rest before making my final decision, but not really impressed so far..
Someone give me something that will make me more eager to watch the rest, maybe?

Well I watched ova 2 last night.. The angel stuff was interesting and it was okay I guess, but it still didn't move me much. I think what both of the ovas I've watched so far needed was more interesting stuff happening throughout - it all just seemed like a build-up to the end of the episodes and that's definitely not what someone would expect from an ova series, I've seen normal TV series episodes that were much more interesting than this.
I'll obviously watch the rest of the ovas too now that I started on it, especially since I'm expecting it to at least become a bit more interesting (hopefully), but that's what I think so far. I honestly thought it would be much better when Kevin told me to watch it >:

Re: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi
I should have watched this sooner. My two favorite female seiyus playing seductive badass women who get exposed regularly and have hot yuri sex?
Hells yeah.
Not to mention that Rin's immortal and have something similar to an Alucard/homunculus mentality where she lets herself get shot to bits and then gets up and takes 'em down as they're cower in surprise.
In addition, the timeskip theme was something completely unique to me. We went through three generations of Maeno and observed each time Mimi upgraded her computer.
I love stuff like that.
We had a brief EVA moment in the last episode, but it is only a minor flaw that totally didn't damage the anime's quality for me. Besides, Rin emerged triumphant with Maeno's help, and threw that EVA shit in the hermaphrodite bitch's face!
My only misgiving about this show is that the first episode was the most entertaining one. I was expecting the same amount of QUALITY in every episode, but Rin usually wasn't able to show off her moves because either 1: She gets killed and the enemy immediately leaves do other stuff, or 2: She fights an angel and is rendered nearly defenseless in moaning ecstacy. Essentially, that's the only real problem with the show: the immortal weakness. It's totally hawt, but it makes the most badass characters seem weak and helpless, and that is a big no-no.
I give this show a 9/10 for virtua sexors and vodka for breakfast, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Baccano! and yuri hentai.

Right, no such thing as necroposting in anime series discussion, right?
I never watched beyond episode 2 that one time, but I got to watching the whole thing again a couple days ago. It was much more amazing than expected after just watching the first 2 episodes. I'll disagree with Ishbalan on this one - the thing I loved the most about this series was how immortal main characters kept getting rendered helpless, it made Rin's ability to overcome this helplessness even more kickass when no one else could. Also totally loved the fact it went from the past to a science fiction-like interpretation of the far future without making the show turncheesyboochsack, that was both interesting and unique in a series like that.
Need to mention that towards the last 30 minutes of the show I felt that it would end up having a very rushed ending, which is the one thing that has totally killed most of the anime series I have watched for me, but it somehow managed to even fit a nifty ending in there without making it seem rushed! Many kudos on that, well played.
Some soft and quite sexy yuri, just as much violence as was necessary, enough plot twists to keep interest and enough explanations to understand "wtf was that first episode about?" without leaving out important stuff in a try to make it seem pseudo-philosophical or whatever. Highly entertaining show, 8 hawt yuri nekkid girls in da showa / 10 hawt yuri nekkid girls in da showa from me.
