First, you must realize that NO ONE would enjoy this. You probably have friends who take your word for it that it is awesome and will tell you the same, but I can guarantee you they didn't enjoy it. They might have been slightly confused and overwhelmed by the sheer size of it, and maybe they admired that you are able to create something that they cannot. But they didn't tell you it was bad because they have absolutely no clue what a good video is. This they have in common with you.
Please, for your own sake, let this video go. Distance yourself as far away from it as possible. Erase the time you spent on it from your life forever and move on. Stop holding on to false hope that a single minute of it impressed anyone here. No one who only watched the first few minutes stopped watching because it was too long. They are not judging your video for it's length. They stopped watching because they couldn't stand to watch anymore. Even if it had only been 30 minutes long they still would have stopped watching. I, having watched it in it's entirety, can only regret that I did not do the same. I only watched the whole thing so you would listen to what I have to say.
dantetheonly wrote:tho, i love the feedback you have to understand, this is a concept amv so watching the first 5 minutes is just a preview of how good the video really is, watch the first 2 songs then make your assumption.
This is probably the truest thing you've said in this thread. The first 5 minutes are an excellent indicator of what the rest of the video was like. Hence, why most will not be able to get past the first 5 minutes. Even if this had been a good video, even if the editing was decent, there would be no reason to watch past 5 minutes because
nothing changed. The video had no ups or downs, no plot, and no variety. This video might as well be only a single minute of editing repeated 65 times.
I believe anyone can be a great editor. You are no exception. But as long as you hold on to this video, you will never be one. Throw out everything you think you know about editing and start over. No one here will deny you the help you need so please take advantage of it.
