Them other animes ain't RAW

Post by moswarthy » Mon Nov 19, 2007 3:18 pm

What's up AMV makers?

This is well executed video with other minimal factors as well:

My intro = X-men....(american cartoons...not RAW like anime)
Young Kakarot = Speaks to the Rap Amv makers
~T.I. - Raw~
~Outkast - Ghettomusik~ = DBZ women and their feelings
~T.I. - Raw~
fin

And can I have some fair judges and opinions, so far since I'm not popular, I don't think this video has been fairly judged. If you watch & leave any comment on this video, you can POST YOUR VIDEO and I'LL RETURN THE FAVOR! Thanks, pz.

Video: RAW
Category: Action
Anime: Dragonball Z
Song: Raw
Artist: T.I.

Ok I will give it a chance tomorrow. First of all critique & advices:

1.
This is well executed video with other minimal factors as well:
Never praise your vid in an announcement thread. People tend to give you the oposite in comments. Just think: "The viewer says if a video is good or not, not the editor. The viewer is the final judge."

2. I don´t get the video info. It´s confusing and doesn´t really give me anything to know what this video is about.

3. .wmv Ok I didn´t watched it yet, but there are better ways to compress your video. Especially if you work with this guides:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtechbeta/
The time you spent on it is worth it.

Just be patient. I give you my comment tomorrow if I don´t forget.

Re: 1. Never praise gotcha. But I don't think I praised it. Just saying well executed, doesn't mean I'm saying this is a great video.

Re: 3. Alright I'll check this out.

1.75/5

I don´t think it worked out good. Ok I can´t really listen to the music because I´m not a native English speaker so I don´t really see the conncetions between the scenes and the sagas.

I think that the effects are unnecessary and didn´t fit. To keep more attention on basic editing would help the video much more.

The music is hard to edit with imo. It´s hard to keep on a flow or a beat or whatever you need here. Yeah it didn´t worked here. I liked the part between 0:43 and 0:56 the most. For me it turned out to be the best.

Work on visual quality. A perfect sharp image spreads the fun. The video was often really dark =/

Even if the subtitles and fandub logos are not too obvious: Crop them out.

Work on lipsync. A wrong lipsync disturbs the overall effect of an video.

Ok I don´t think that I know more to add.

Fa sho I appreciate your honesty. crop titles, work on lipsync....darkness of the video was meant for King Piccolo. What about the "feeling good, feeling great" part?

So, you don't understand the song? Raw - T.I. is so meant for amvs. Aight then catch ya lata

he.... what? I still don´t get. Don´t waste your time with trying to explain me ^^
What about the "feeling good, feeling great" part?
You mean the part with the female characters? I don´t think that the flow worked here too, but it´s better than in the rest. The wrong lipsync screws a lot. The colours... are a nice idea. They give a difference to the rest of the video.
