Dark Chest of Fantasies

Post by Stolen Soul » Sat Jul 01, 2006 2:49 am

This is my first time editing with high quality video game footage. I ripped the footage myself, and spent quite some time editing ^^

I guess the best part about making this video was the song went so well with the fotage.

yes, im sorry, i know the song is overused, but i just had to, it seemed to fit so well

Anime- Final Fantasy 9
Song: Dark Chest of Wonders- Nightwish

Anyways guys, i hope you enjoy, i know i enjoyed making it ^^

any comments or opinions gladly appreciated ^^

Not bad.
This will sound like cliche bullshit, but I liked the use of fades, glows, and blurs. The pace at the end wore down, but the beginning was great and reminiscient of SmashLink's Requiem for a Tower vid. You also needed more emphasis on the underlayer percussion at some parts, and more visual switchups from the instrumental parts to the vocals. Otherwise, this was fairly decent, and didn't suck truckloads of ass like so many other vids I see on a daily basis... and not just from noobs.
8-)

OK .... that was pretty badass. Not your best work but still pretty damn tight. I for one am not a big fan of nightwish or FF9 but amazingly you seemed to have pulled it off. Makes me proud to have you as a successor :) Keep up the good work K. Alot of good cuts in this video that have been left out of most other ff9 vids i see. Awesome work!!
