Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

AWA Pro & DDR Project 2 Videos - Online

Post by VegettoEX » Mon Sep 30, 2002 8:50 pm

Both of these videos are by myself (Michael "VegettoEX" LaBrie) and Meredith "Meri" Cantoni. They are listed under both of our profiles because there is no system in the database for entering collaboration videos (more than one creator). Due to this, the same video is listed under two accounts. Both videos have direct download links, are stored on fast university accounts, and are in MPEG-1 format.

"Smoke" (Rurouni Kenshin; Mr Ed. Jumps the Gun - "Smoke"; DDR Project 2 Track 7)

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/legacy/ ... hp?v=11324
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/legacy/ ... hp?v=11326

"Alone in the World" (Trigun; Simple Plan - "I'm Just a Kid")
Winner: Professional Contest - Best Character Profile

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/legacy/ ... hp?v=11328
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/legacy/ ... hp?v=11329

If by some random chance you actually want to leave a review on any of them, please leave an identical review on both entries.

ATTN: Those who got our AMV Compilation CD-R at AWA--

The style sheet on the "VegettoEX" page seems to.. uhh... have not gotten applied, so the page looks like crap. The "Collaborative" main link on the "VegettoEX" page is also broken. Other than that, I think everything else is in perfect working order. The HTML files look like crap, in general, on Macs but that's not our fault :P.

I still can't believe you two pulled that track off - not only that, but did an awesome job with it and made a really fun video :)
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

Hsien & Turboneko:

Thanks so much! I'm glad to hear you liked how Smoke turned out. Thank god it wasn't the disaster I imagined it would be. I loved your tracks, too. :D Very, very, VERY enjoyable all around, throughout the entire project. I'm looking forward to showing the DDR project to my school's anime club when we all get copies.

Meri and Mike:

You did a fabulous job. I don't have to write alot to say this. You are two VERY talented AMV makers (especially since you turned "Smoke" into a good video :) ). Meri, you are my inspiration. Thank you. Mike, well since your Meri's boyfriend I'm of course your friend. Keep up the good work! Congrats on winning Best Character Profile too! You deserved it!!!!!!

Damn, but that "Smoke" is a good video! Duplicate opinions left, as requested. it's such a good effort that I've taken back a step from my initial desires to contribute to the next video, as this one is technically very well done!

I haven't viewed the Trigun video, as I've not seen the entire series (donations of domestic DVDs heartily accepted).
