Like I said, I love this. After seeing The End Of My World, I've been dying for another drama/slower amv from you. Though your action amvs are always prime, you're very diverse and can edit these slower videos with perfection. I've attempted editing this song myself, since the ending is gorgeous, but could never give it justice. To see you edit this song, and with this source, really made me excited, and I was not disappointed in the least. Think I'll throw in a little crit before I go to bed, it deserves it.
Love the glow at :29, and the green/blue color correction you have. I didn't like the thick white borders at :31; I like the idea, but I'm not a fan for thick white edges, it cuts off too much. Again, the central glow at :58 is perfect.
From 1:01 with the flashing glows, again, like the idea, but I think they should have been a few frames longer to make it softer. The flare at 1:03 I don't feel fits. It's the only one in the video, and the orange, though giving it a nice contrast, is too sudden and comes off harsh. 1:13-1:22 is heartbreaking. I've seen a lot of amvs with this anime and it's really hard to fit in these scenes well because the song has to be slow enough, have the perfect atmosphere for matching such a dramatic and raw scene, and lyrics can't be too weird, so I'm glad you were able to fit in all the scenes from that. I love how at 2:23 you make the connection between the lyrics and the dad 'watching over,' as you did at 1:23, which you don't realize then of course, but comes as a pleasant surprise when it comes back.
Love how it picks up at 3:01, the impact in the editing with the pans, and then the story impact with him becoming a wolf. A well placed scene.
3:10-3:56 will always be my favorite for just how lovely the song is and the gorgeous glows you have. 3:12 I particularly love for it matching the lyrics so well, and 3:21 for the same reason, and 3:39 for going back to the father.
There's no other particular timecodes to mention; overall, the sync is very good. You cut on just the right beats and have well chosen transitions, with a good mix of hardcuts, crossfades, glow in/outs, and the addition of pans/zooms on many scenes to add that smoothness. The color correction is beautiful, and I love the glows, as usual. The scene selection was prime and maintains very much the emotions of the movie which I hope everyone will see. Some little things I don't like here and there, but hardly worth mentioning. Best video by far with this movie, definitely. (:
