This is amazing, May
It's editted without any really visible effects. It all feels so natural.
By far the most beautiful amv with Tegami Bachi I've seen so far.

Congrats on your 14th place, you deserve it if not better  :awesome:

Thanks. :3 I tried really hard to blend the effects with the original so it'd look natural. xD Some of the angles of the 3D frames look a little sketchy but overall I'm quite happy with them. ^^

irriadin wrote:I'll follow ibabrak's lead and copy my YT comment ;)

Lovely mood and serene pacing. The effects used complement the atmosphere wonderfully. Things like the mask transition at 1:04 really sell the sense of isolation or loss that you're trying to convey. Overall, great job!

Thanks Ryan! Other than editors, I don't really think people will notice the majority of the effects used in this. xD
[madaraxD] wrote:You know May..i love it <3 , as i told you maybe at sometimes is a little ¨fast¨ (you know what i mean xD..upbeat editors :awesome: ) but i really can feel the sentiments of the characters, and that's the most important. Nice job!

Haha I played around with that section you mentioned quite a few times and still couldn't get it right so I was like "SCREW THIS, I'M DONE" xD Thanks though! :D
Niwa wrote:Congratulation Pan--- I mean Secretary :'D I haven't seen much of this show being used in videos ever since it released D: I haven't seen the show myself, but I got interested after seeing this, fitting atmosphere and theme, I'm still uncertain about the 3D windows being a vital part of the plot, it could've been done without them, but they're a nice addition at some parts of the video.

Good job  *goes back finishing that poster* D:

Oo I really do hope you'll find some time to watch it then! I won't say it's one of the best shows out there but it's definitely unique and interesting. And finish dat poster nao lazy boss! Get to work! D<
Chiiisus wrote:;____; Still dislike the 3D Style parts, but i really love the video as a whole. <3 Great job Pancake. *o*

Haha they'll look out of place to those who haven't seen the anime since the show is littered with them. I thought it was unusual the first time I saw it in the anime.

I think you would have deserved a little more at JE (but this is only my opinion) I was very impressed by the sad atmosphere , it was you very good at selecting scenes.
The only thing I did not like were the borders to the rest is a very good job

Thanks Kyros! :D I think some parts of the video will be a hit or miss with most people anyway so it's ok if you don't like the borders. xD
nihilant01 wrote:I quote Kyroz.
It made me want to watch the anime, so it's good ;).

This made me happy. I hope you'll enjoy the show.

This.
Very nice job!

Thanks! :D
Emong wrote:argh, you should really keep me better informed about your new amvs

Buuut... I don't really think this is among your best work. I did like the fact that the pacing kept up with the intensity of the song towards the end but on the other hand the beginning was too dynamic (before the drums kick in). I also didn't really get what you were trying to do with the narrative. It seemed like a random endless collection of clips of some white haired dudes :uhoh:

It was alright  but definitely not my favorite of your amvs.

Pfft, this is all because you're never online! oh wait that might be partially my fault too... xD

But it's alright. I will admit I got lazy after a while and just wanted it out the way. ;__; I know, I'm so bad when it comes to things like these. And yeah the show has a lot of moments where Lag is all depressed thinking about Gauche so it's only normal to include those. Right? RIGHT?! XD
MimS wrote:Long and boring, not too bad edited but nothing really outstanding...
Aimo, show me your real potential !

When I stop being lazy. Which is...never. I kid. xD I said I'll try and live up to your expectations so I do have a few serious videos planned for the rest of the year which I hope will be better. That is when I stop being lazy and actually edit them. :asd:
MagicDarkLight wrote:Hey!

I didn't know who did this and it was actually you xD It's more interesting to look it at home than on the giant screen at the convention (because it was dark and yeah, a bit long xD it's not the same mood)
So in the end I liked it, not loved it because I'd join Mims for the idea, I guess it's not the kind of amvs I'd watch over and over again but it's still entertaining.
For the technical aspects, some lip synch/flap bothered me, it didn't look right there, and the idea of the windows could have been better executed imo, they were like flying in the air but yeah it could have been better implemented I think.
But overalls, everything's good so yeah, good job and congratz on your place! :D

Ah yeah, the flying windows are a common occurrence in the anime so I was trying to replicate a similar effect. xD But thanks! :D
Kain-x-spirits wrote:Like Mims said it was long, and can be boring (it depends of if the viewer saw the anime or not i guess). To me, it was well edited enough to be quite high in the ranking, no particular mistqke, but i think you can do much more better.

It's all because you didn't say "moar fx!" enough times! :awesome: Kidding. xD
Tearx wrote:WAI SO LIL RESPONSES?

Oke, I love this. I really liked your approach/editing style.
I can honestly say this is my fav work by you. It brought out a lot of emotionzz

ummm, story wise.. I donno if i could get it clearly or not but wutever the case a little kid crying is so sad D;
:dino:

Cause the world already has enough sentimental videos. XD But d'awwww thanks! And eeer yeah, the story kinda went out the window after a while and I just focused mainly on the sad mood instead so don't worry too much about it. Also you'll be amazed at how much screentime Lag's crying takes up in the show. XD It's kinda adorable at times though.

Hmm interesting.

I really like the mood of this one, the scene selection was logical at several moments but felt it kinda long. Also some parts gave me the impression that you ran out of scenes or you just wanted to put 'extra scenes' - this was in the middle, if you want a minute, 1:07-1:10

This anime is new for me, and I liked the fact that it got the sycnh, but I guess why I felt it long was due to the fact that you speed up the clip and then return it back to a slow pacing.

Seems like someone is trying to play with the 3D huh?

Overally it was kinda enjoyable but surely it's not my favourite of your videos.

There was overally something wrong with the sync. I'm not sure if it was about the transitions or just some irregularity but it kinda affected my feelings to it. I liked how you followed the mood of the music throughout the video. Can't really say much more as a 'quick reply'.

There were many things I would like to point out. Maybe that's because you edited it in a completely different way than I would. Guess I'm gonna leave an OP for this one when I get back home, if you don't mind.

Still, great job
