In that case, the lip-synch was very well done too.
Well, maybe idolizing Chun Li as a young girl is a very rare occurrence. It all stems from being an impressionable young Chinese girl with a 10 years older cousin who seems to know everything about Anime and video games, and teaches you how to beat everyone at the local arcade by cheesing using Chun Li's pressure moves.

I also felt that Chun Li was a strong individual and character, she was quite outspoken and a big contrast compared to the I suppose you can call it "meekness" that I saw in other girls that were still living in Taiwan and China back in those days. That, and it made me dream about being a martial arts detective when I grew up... one of those silly kid's fantasies you know? Unfortunately, the only martial art I ever studied was Karate (I know nothing about Kung-fu at all.), and after scoping out an actual police department it actually didn't seem that exciting or easy of a job. So the chances of me ever accomplishing that dream is very slim.
*spoiler alert? Geez if you haven't seen this movie yet, you might've missed your chance to ever see it anyways.

Of course, as at least you and I know Chun Li is not out for the count as far as the anime goes, she's too great of a character to get killed off.

Although the same may not necessarily be said for Balrog. (Vega's original Japanese name)
