Sythes, baawing and hidden song meanings

Some guy on the interwebs wrote:I believe this song, though very good, hides a darker meaning within its lyrics. I listened to it while reading Mein Kampf and it just sorted falling together as a song about the Nazi Empire. Think of it from Germany's perspective:

Theres only two types of people in the world,
The ones that entertain, and the ones that observe,
Well baby I'm a put-on-a-show kinda girl,
Don't like the backseat, gotta be first.

In the beginning of the war, Germany was very angry about the way the rest of the world was treating it. Instead of sitting back, they became a "put-on-a-show kinda girl" and launched what would soon be known as the most deadly war of human history. "don't take the back seat, gotta be first" could be interpreted as making the first move and invading Poland in 1939.

I'm like the ring leader, I call the shots,
I'm like a firecracker, I make it hot,

Until around 1943, Germany called all of the shots. She was winning. "Like a firecracker" means "I'm dangerous", and "I make it hot" alludes to the Holocaust and the corpses of learning camp-goers being cremated when they refused to take showers.

There's only two types of guys out there,
Ones that can hang with me,
And ones that're scared,
So baby I hope that you came prepared,
I run a tight ship,
So beware.

This would be Germany's betrayal of the Soviet Union. When she saw that the Communists were weak and fallible, she cut them loose.

All eyes on me, in the centre of the ring, just like a circus,

Britney Spears is very proud of Germany's "heroic" actions.

It goes on to several more stanzas of pro-Nazi lyrics, but I think you get the jist of it. This song is about Britney Spears' admiration of the Nazis' "circus"-like spectacle.

That said, please enjoy this video which has nothing to do with what was written above.

Welp, I will always have that Kalido Star AMV when hearing this song, but hell this was enjoyable. I thought it was a little different than your usual style, which is nice to see. Had some really great atmosphere and did a fantastic job of keeping pace with the music. If I had any complaints, I suppose it would be that the video didn't literally fit the audio, but looking past that, it's a great video that's extremely enjoyable! Great way to start of 2011.

Why didn't you tell me this was up?!

Meanie!

That side, great job, Hagaren. =3

Btw, credits are totally LOL.

Seven months?! Wow...at least you finally finished it. ^^

For me, I thought the song fit well. I never would have expected this combo, so I was skeptical when you told me about it, but you certainly showed me!

x2

I plan on watching this video a few more times in order to analyze the way you cut and transitioned your scenes during the action parts. I've never actually made a 100% action AMV, so I plan on experimenting with other people's editing styles here and there. Anyway, awesome vid. 5/5

While I'm not a fan of Ms. Spears, I really enjoyed the video. The editing was consistently on point, everything was very well synched with the song, and it was fun to watch Maaka coming off as a sociopath ^__~

The ending was GREAT.

Haven't seen the series and the song is one of her least catchy. IMO this video would work better if the flow were more consistent and there was more visual impact with the music, however this is difficult because the song is mastered way too loud to sound punchy. Hardcuts and rolls make the video look distracting and unfocused and the mindless action could have been consistent throughout to keep the audience engaged.

Really enjoyable vid. I gave 4/5 but I should have waited till the very end for the star rating because that lip sync gets 5/5 for making me LOL.

as an aside: I'm not a Britney fan by any means but I seriously doubt she's a nazi. The song is clearly just about being an attention-whore.

Yeah, I wanted to try a more effect/mindless beat sync video that I could just go all out and have fun with, and the parts I didnt get editor's block with were super fun ^^

I found a Kaliedo Star AMV with this song recently, wonder if it was the same one.

The ending was GREAT.

Like I said earlier, Im not really a fan either...so Im actually baffled by how i found this song in the first place. i honestly have no idea...

I was honestly afraid people wouldn't like this because of the song XD

Thanks for the comment; Out of curiosity, where do you think the flow was disrupted?

XD I actually found that comment on a lyrics site, and it was so lulzy that I had to share. Glad you enjoyed the ending too!

Never expected Britney to be paired up with Soul Eater, though that being said, I am a fan of her songs and the video itself was done pretty well since I really enjoyed watching that.

Really nice pacing and sync, editing was really neat and clean too and I loved your transitions. Only complaint I have is I didn't really like some of the overlays especially near the start. But it wasn't anything too major considering the rest of the video was excellently done.

Also I LULZ'd at the credits.

Gudstuff. 5/5 from me! And I hope to see more from you soon! :awesome:
