...I forgot to come back. But i really liked it, i enjoy'd this mostly over any Romance video i've ever seen to say the least....not that i like a lot to begin with. If only it portrayed Romeo burning a Swatzika into Juliets skin with a pitchfork..

I forgot to comment about this video. It's been a long week at work. >_<

Anyway, I enjoyed the nice experimentation of the panels, and I felt they did a great job of uniquely telling a story and offering varying angles of similar scenes to set movement in the story and showing us where everything is going. The scenes also matched well with the audio.

In terms of mood, the song was kept nicely with, and the overall atmosphere of love/romance/longing/shit was there. I also loved the use of the vivid colors of scarlet/blue/white. A lot of scene selections were unique and kept an interesting movement, such as when Juliet spins and kicks the guy in the head.

The only thing I could visibly critique is that some of the panel cuts were a tad akward here and there, but really it wasn't enough to visibly distract from the video as a whole.

Nicely done. I really enjoyed it a lot.

Very nice romance vid!

Thank you

post-it wrote:this opens the door for more wide-screen exploration ^_^ I like the concept! :pizza:

I don't know about wide-screen explorations, but I do know at least one person experimenting with vid that isn't 4:3 or 16:9. Dunno if/when they'll release it, but nice to see others playing with similar ideas

Hydra Star wrote:Nice story :> I wish if they didn't die in the anime too. And cool screen concept though it made me feel dizzy trying to concentrate on those screens ^^;

Well it wouldn't be Romeo X Juliet if they didn't die. That's the whole point of the story, to get a good laugh when they kick the bucket.

Good vid but I'm still waiting for this fucking awesome drama vid using RxJ (an equivalent of Part of You, Shadow of me for this anime would be perfect : o)

Oddly, Part of You, Shadow of Me was a lot more technically orientated than my vid. What I did really is, technically at least, a lot easier than you would think. Still, I know what you mean.

You'd be surprised how little source there is for showing a scene like that. It's as if the makers of the anime just didn't think about S&M nazis at all.

Thank you, and thanks for the help beta testing it.

Downloaded it. Watched it. Shit.

I have to admit that I was expecting to hate the multiple video thing, but holy shit, you made it look good. For some reason, I found myself glued to watching it and wanted to see how all of the scenes in the multiple panels were going to look. I think this is one of my new favorite "effects" videos I've seen this year.

This, hands down, is one of the most innovative amvs I've seen this year. It's been years since I had a video make me say "Why didn't I think of that?!".

I have no idea how any con is going to screen this video properly unless they literally have a movie theater screen to use.

I thought it was a really cool idea, one that I had thought of before but never really got around to actually planning anything. I like seeing new ways to make videos that don't rely on heavy effects. Just a simple concept and idea is all that's needed to make something unique and enjoyable. Nice job.

That's surprising and somewhat ironically amusing. But glad he liked it.

Thank you for the comments. I can't take too much credit for the innovation though. I mentioned it earlier I think, but the style was stoleninspired by Sad Song. So while I did experiment a lot with it, I was building off someone elses idea.

Thank you. Recently my serious videos have been mostly pick one central concept and push it for all I can. Nice to know others can enjoy that sort of thing too.
