Can I offer you a bit of advice?

Compressing your audio is a good thing.

As it stands right now, you are using 20 megs of 50 for the video stream, and 30 for the uncompressed PCM audio. I recommend you pull the file, and set about fixing that. you should be able to make your file quite a bit larger and clearer while maintaining the same filesize, if you convert the sound to mp3 format.

That DBZ screen name must be rotting your brain, man. How could you forget something like that? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Pardon my n00bness and thanks for the advice, but alas, the program I use can't compress audio :?

Why? Because its freeware, yes, I use shitty shitty freeware, and some outside frame by frame.

How about reading the guides, and trying some non-shitty freeware?

It took me about 3 minutes to fix your vid by converting the audio to LAME mp3@160cbr.

Here's what you do:

Download virtualdub (free)
Download the latest AMV.app (free)

Install both, this will get you the LAME codec ACM installed for vdub.

open the web distro version of your vid.

select "direct stream copy" under video

select "full processing" under audio.

go to the compression menu under audio.

choose LAME mp3, and select a rate from the list. anything from 128cbr to 160abr should be acceptable.

go to the file menu, and choose "save as avi". give it a new filename so you don't overwrite your original file.

give it a test play, and if all is well, re-up your now much smaller vid to your webspace.

if you have video freezes, try changing the interleave from 1 frame to 4 or 8 (under audio>interleaving)

BTW, the version I made sounds fine, and is 25.3 megs now. :P

This post took WAAAAYYY longer than fixing your vid did.

pwned. :twisted:

Yeah. It was fairly good. Not great, but good.
It looked to me as if your skills improved as you progressed from the beginning to the end. less reliance on flashes, more of a plot to follow.

I was thinking of doing an actual review, want to trade?

<AOL_voice>

You've got opinions!

</AOL_voice>

oh, assuming you grab the xvid version of mine, the standalone directShow decoder dated december something that you can get from the link on my download page will also handle decoding my vid, if you don't want to install the unstable build of xvid.
