DOKool's R2/Import/Anime Collectable Service

Post by dokool » Tue Jan 23, 2007 8:17 pm

For those of you who aren't aware, I am living in Tokyo, Japan. Here I have access to just about anything that was ever made in relation to anime, as I live a mile north of Mandarake Nakano (essentially an anime mall) and have a commuter pass that gets me to Shibuya and Shinjuku, where I have access to newer merch (Animate), DVDs/CDs (Tower, Tsutaya), etc.

Furthermore, I'm incredibly familiar with Akihabara and its vast array of "used" CD/DVD shops, where I can get R2s for up to $20-30 less than their original price (okay, $30 for two episodes rather than $50-60, but that's a big step), still in pristine condition.

And I want to save you money. While making a little bit of change for myself, of course.

Here's how this works: you email me/PM me with your shopping list. I assess the shopping list and give you an approximate price, you approve/deny, I go shopping and give you the final price, PayPal payments are made, and your order is shipped via your carrier of choice (EMS, Airmail, etc).

I can generally find just about anything - artbooks, CDs (soundtrack, radio drama, etc), capsule figures, character goods for all the new shows (including a metric ton of new Haruhi Suzumiya stuff, L's teacup from Death Note, Naruto & Bleach mini-umbrellas, NERV Pastries, and stuff whose existence serves no purpose as far as I can tell), old/new videogames and consoles, you name it. I guarantee that you will pay far, far less than at any anime con and be just as satisfied.

Anyway, drop me a PM or email, and let's do some business.

I'd say you're being sarcastic, but the last time I was in Akiba I saw a rather large table where they were selling packaged food-type things outside of Gamers...

You find me cheap KOR goods (whih should be fairly easy in Japan itself), and we might be able to work something out...

I may take you up on this offer for some very, very obscure titles I would love to get my hands on. I'll have to think about it plus gather the funds. But it's good to know you are there for just this sort of thing.
