$99 Sony Vegas 6 (full version, not Movie Studio)

It might be worth a phone call, but this looks legit, and it's not marked "upgrade" anywhere. You only get the installation CD, no books or other extras. For those who haven't dealt with them before, B&H is a highly-rated e-store that's been around for over <strike>20</strike> 30 years.

<strike>$149</strike> $99 Vegas 6 link

One other thing to keep in mind: Vegas version 7 will be available around late September or so: read about it here.

Edit: Vegas product info can be found here.

Edit: Price cut effective Aug 24.

Crap, I'd get this, but I need the DVD Architect software too.
Having trouble playing back videos? I recommend: Image

B&H has the DVD production suite for $390, about half of retail.
But that may not be the lowest price out there.

Aug 24 edit: this product is no longer for sale at B&H.

The deal got sweeter ^_^!

UPDATE
Check the link again! The price is now the awesome one below ^_^!

Vegas 6 for only:
$99
NOTE:
Software Installation CD-ROM only; does not include box or manuals.

Not a bad deal. Even if Vegas 7 is coming out soon, I doubt many of the new features will benefit the average AMVer. I swear I heard that if a new version comes out within 30 days of purchasing a previous version you can upgrade for free? That would be awesome, but I doubt it.

Link for sony to notify you when Vegas 7 becomes available.

Good thing I didn't order it last night. When I checked this morning it was still $149.

Also noticed that all other Vegas products - including that DVD production suite that I mentioned above - are no longer in their inventory.

Vegas Movie Studio is still for sale, but unless you absolutely need the DVD function, there's no reason to buy it in lieu of the full version.
