ALL-IN-WONDER® RADEON™ 8500DV up for auction

Postby Dragonmun » Sun Nov 17, 2002 7:42 pm

Well I saw the other post concerning this card, and I personally have to say I'm happy with it. I don't make many music videos but the few that I did make caused me no trouble whatsoever... and I did get a fanfavorite in a local contest around here.
=^_^;=

Anywho, my Father saw how much I liked the card, and went an bought himself one... for all the wrong reasons.

Effectivly now we have two of them here in the house, and one never gets used. It's sad really, but you can find the auction information here.

It really is a nice card, and I know that you guys would appreciate it.
(Especially for a starting bid price of $250)(we payed like $400 somethng for it.)

Is it PCI or AGP?

PCI, PCI, PCI ::crosses fingers::

I'm pretty sure it's PCI...
hehe to be honest I thought they stopped making AGP things a while ago.

I've been thinking I would need to upgrade to an AGP motherboard since I couldn't find any video cards that input and output to VCRs for my PCI motherboard. If I can swing the money for this one, sweet!

Thanks for the tip-off. And give my regards to the clan.

Yep, sweet card...faster then anything Nvidia can chew and supposedly can run Doom 3 through the hoops.

I want one of those but I'd rather not auction....just gotta wait another month or two until Nvidia's next card comes out and teh price war begins. Better bargains...I think.

Well unfortunatly I had to take the auction down.
My old man decided that since best buy is actually selling new cards for $200 even, that he'll just keep his... or something like that.
=Oo=

Hehe... wow, that was quite a jump made. When he bought the card it was over $400.

*shrugs*
Oh well... so goes the way of technology.

Yep...next time, you'll hear that the card is actually now just 150 at some places. Waiting has its advantages.

yup AGP 8X is the new standard. PCI is old and dated.

you never said if it wwas 64mb or 128ddr I know in the stores you can get a 64 brand new for about 100, a 128 shouldn't be anymore than 300. When I got my 64 mb right as the 8500dv all in wonder released it was about 300 I think. I think you card didn't sell well because it was overpriced for an auction. people might as well of went to the store to buy it.
