Evangelion Platinum Collection for $5.99!

Postby Thorblitzer » Sat Jan 21, 2006 1:13 pm

In what must be a price mistake, amazon.com is currently selling the NGE Platinum DVD Box Set for $5.99. Snap it up before they realize their mistake!

I caved in and ordered it along with another 2 items I was getting.

If they decide to raise the price back, they'll just send a refund.

I ordered two of them.. One for me and the other was going to be a giveaway on my site... They both got cancelled.. I sent them an email about my thoughts about this "screw-up". They lost business I was going to do with them. I also asked to remove my account that I have with them.

A little quote from the email I sent them:

"We value your business and hope that you will give us a chance to serve you again in the future."
It seems that you do not value my business by cancelling my order. Thank you Amazon!

This is just bad business practice on your part. It's not my fault someone entered the wrong price.

That's all I have to say.

This happened to me before - I ordered an uncut DVD of Yu Yu Hakusho that was listed for $14.99 (Canadian) on amazon.ca. The order was processed, but I ended up getting the censored, VHS version.

I sent it back, and they sent me the actual DVD for no extra cost (except the shipping :| ). The odd thing was that the disc itself had a picture of Kurama on it while all my other discs are blue with the logo. That, I won't complain about.

Amazon can be careless with their price listings, and since then I've just been careful about what I buy.

I've been ordering from a different site recently, anyway...

Amazon tends to do this a lot, its one of the reasons why I do not shop with them. You could try www.half.com . They might have some anime boxsets for cheap. I know I got my ADV Sailor Moon R boxsets for 34 bucks each , and they were suppsoedly out of print. You could also try www.deepdiscountdvd.com . That is where I shop most fequantly for my anime boxsets.
