Basically any box set you could want for 23.99? That legal?

Ok, so I was browsing the web, and I found this little site:
[URL removed]
They have an amazing number of box sets on sale for only $23.99. Kare Kano, Escaflowne, Fruits Basket, Trigun, Love Hina, Excel Saga, and the list goes on and on. I thought to myself, this is too good to be true- then I realized that maybe it wasn't...
All of the DVDs appear to be region zero, though they say that means they will play on any player. And the box sets seem to not have enough DVDs. As far as I'm aware, the Trigun box set has 8 discs, but this site will sell you the box set with only three discs- somehow still containing all the episodes. I started to worry that maybe this site was selling pirated discs, then I read this page:

... and the uneasy feeling worsened. They seem to be a bit defensive about it. I've never seen any other site that felt the need to say that their products were genuine. But maybe it's just because their prices are so low, they expect people to be suspicious. What does everyone else think?

[Kalium: URLs to bootleg site removed.]

They are region 0 or all-region

That should tip you off that it is bootleg...

well, all they do say is that their DVD's are pressed rather than burned. They say nothing abou their products being 'official' releases. My bet is that yes, they are pressed, but of poorer quality as they'd have to be compressed to get them on fewer discs.

my bet would be they're pirated - maybe good copies, maybe in nice packages, but still pirated copies...

Steerike three, you're outta there!

The above link goes to the thread we have in General Anime on recognizing when products are not legit. More or less, if it' seems too good to be true, it probably is.
